Drive

Top Gun

Lord of the Rings (admittedly a score and not a soundtrack as such)

The Star Wars movies will always be the greatest soundtracks imo. I may be biased. 😁

Back to my point I made on page one that was ignored. The difference between a great soundtrack and a great score. This is an iconic score.

Tom Waits (and Crystal gayle), One from the heart.

Francis For Copeland film, apparently.

Never seen the film, but love the soundtrack.

Trainspotting must be worth a shout.

Wonderful soundtrack. The whole film was made at Coppola’s Zoetrope studios and lost him an absolute fortune.

The entire Hallam Foe soundtrack is brilliant. A strange, haunting film with music to match.

Amazing album and a great film. But Quadrophenia beats them all.

Tommy, tho the film is utter shite, in fact,   possibly the worst ever.

And this ...

An interesting fact about The Elephant Man is that it was financed and produced by Mel Brooks.

He didn't want his name mentioned in any of the credits or publicity for the film to stop people from thinking it was a satire or dark comedy.

I’m sat watching The World’s End on ITV2 and have to say 40 minutes in and every song has been a peach so far.

A wee bit off topic but minded me of the Radiohead track that was not used in Spectre. Someone has put the track on the opening sequence (about 1.45 mins in for those interested). Far superior to Sam Smith. Then again what isn't musically wise.

Still a lot of confusion on here over the difference between a soundtrack and a score.

I could add a number of others by Mogwai (Les Revenants, Atomic, and more) but they may be closer to scores than soundtracks.

Och I was about to post this.

Both the score and film better than the first.

My Dad is a bassoon player and played on the original film's soundtrack. Lawrence of Arabia too. No matter what I do in my life I'm never going to be that cool.

Some great shouts already.

O Brother Where Art Thou is one of my favourite films

Another soundtrack I love is Inside Llewyn Davis

Two of my favourite soundtracks are American Graffiti and Forest Gump. Both are superb.
