Woof!! Got it in one.

If I'm right about the theme, I think I get this one on multiple counts.

Another nomination would be Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band with The Rising but not Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band with Born to Run.

Yeah, and although Mirror Man by The Human League fits the link, Being Boiled by The Human League wouldn't.

I'm getting nothing from those three. All good songs so I haven't minded listening to them but I think I'm going to need at least one more clue.

I'll be generous and give you two :D

Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2

Superstition - Stevie Wonder

Quite possible we've had this theme - not checked 🤔

Oooft - could squeeze in on a technicality or could be rejected on a technicality.

I was thinking something to do with the drumming

And we're there.

Songs that have a drum intro.

YYZ isn't a song but it IS the drummer who plays the first notes. A third technicality is that it isn't a drum intro but IS percussion.

Gah!!

If you'd have swapped Superstition or S-B-S for Billie Jean, I may have got it. In my head, Billie Jean starts with that Bass riff - even when I listened to it, I blanked the drums. Good link, though!

How about this one

The 1975 - the city

Black Sabbath - evil woman

Green Day - Longview

What other songs for this criteria?

10538 Overture by Electric Light Orchestra unless I'm very much mistaken.

I thought they were all film titles (altho' Billie Jean was stretching it).

Superstition, Sunday Bloody Sunday, 50 Ways, Call Me - thus Xanadu - a better track, than film

Aw - that would've been a cracking theme! One I probably wouldn't've got 😕

Wait a month or two and get it sneaked in when we've forgotten you mentioned it

There is a link between those four, though.

What link do you think is between them, in case I have messed up?

I'm going to have to give that a very specific 'No' but you're so close.

Harsh. Very harsh, you know I’ve got it but my brain is struggling for the right song.

Or...

Your Sister Can’t Twist (but she can rock ‘n’ roll) - Elton John, if you want to keep it vague and less specific.

Even more :spoton: - liking the vagueness :D

Can't see that one fits.

Nor kim carnes - bette davis eyes.

It really is a horrible, horrible link I feel I should reveal it before I'm banished from the thread. It IS in the lyrics...

You could also have Valerie - Amy Winehouse which would give you the probably the most that would fit similarly.

If not that one then Here Comes Santa Claus - Gene Autry.

This link Know your melons should reveal all.

With apologies...it was late.

Xanadu - Rush "Oh, I will dine on honey dew
And drink the milk of Paradise"

The Real Slim Shady - Eminem "We ain't nothin' but mammals
Well, some of us are cannibals
Who cut other people open like cantaloupes"

Thank You - Logic "Bay Area
Bay Area, yeet, yeet!
Bronco from Brooklyn
Galia from Serbia
Nashville, Tennessee"

Birdhouse In Your Soul - They Might Be Giants "My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e"

Valerie - Amy Winehouse "Well, sometimes I go out by myself

And I look across the water"

Here Comes Santa Claus - Gene Autry. "Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus
Right down Santa Claus Lane"
