Big Doug
Why must this season be written off for the sake of next season, that won’t even start on time anyway. Surely we can just wait it out, and play seasons back to back if needs be. Players are getting a rest just now so it shouldn’t be to hard on them. This way the game keeps it integrity and no one can argue if it was right or wrong for teams to be promoted or relegated. i don’t have a problem with Hearts being relegated, as long as it’s on the pitch and not rivals voting to end things early out of self interest. Which is why their claim to be willing to consider reconstruction is such garbage. They will look at reconstruction, some clubs will say "but we would can't vote for reconstruction because it would impact on the TV deal". The vote will be lost and the SPFL exec will say "we tried, but we're a membership organisation and the members voted against it". Claiming to being open to reconstruction as part of the deal is a total sham. Equally, the fact they aren't willing to risk SKY pulling out of the current TV deal and having to renegotiate a potential smaller deal shows that the SPFL are a sporting organisation that cares more about money than sport. Rods
The new sky deal. This would have been the next thing the SPL board would have thrust on the teams to blackmail them into allowing Celtic to win the league.

tian447
To be honest, I think it's fine abandoning the season and trying to start the new one on time. I just don't agree with the proposed way of doing so.
Gambo
There would be a bigger gap between stopping play and restarting, than a close season.

Lord Beni of Gorgie
Until Coronavirus, you may have heard of the disease, has some cure or vaccination, Sky will find their new season could be as disruptive as this one. I don't think this is the last time we will hear of covid19

colinmaroon
The SPFL are making a rod for their own backs. Do you honestly think that if Hearts had been at the other end, top of the league but both Celtic and The Rangers could still have caught us, they would be calling it quits? They would have paid out the money and kept it going until November.
