Unless we can create them ourselves from the academy, or we see a change in marketing (tv deals etc) i think it's going to be one hell of a miserable time for us over the next however many years. Motherwell are probably the benchmark for maximising resources. We need to get our house in order because we are MASSIVELY underachieving. An effective youth system with decent signings could really see us kick on. Once we've done that, I'd like to see our CEO calling out Doncaster for his massive wage relative to how bad the TV deal is. We all deserve better. Norway have a better deal FFS. Bosman was just in its infancy. Sadly agents then took over and it became impossible to get players like Salvatori, Bruno, Adam or Flogel from top clubs in Europe. Then English TV money and coefficients for European competitions meant that we couldn’t even compete with English second tier sides for players.
