scottishguy
If your bored, should be able to see 38 satellites flying over in few mins, if it's not cloudy. Just look south and upwards obviously.

Space Mackerel
Saw the ISS whilst up working up in Kinlochbervie a few years ago. Pretty spectacular, you could make out the outline in the glow. Tommy Brown
Seemingly, I missed last nights Tonight, mass launch from Florida at 8:30pm UK time. Should be visible on our sky around 20 minutes later. set your reminders. apologies for sun link https://www.thesun.co.uk/tech/11443201/elon-musk-starlink-satellite-pictures-ufo/ Also a mass meteor shower happening this week. Saw feck all, as usual, despite a clear sky, which is unusual around here when there's something to see in the night sky.

Straight up above was alright, but a lot of light pollution around.
Craig_
Saw Lyrids last night. Like a bright star with orange and blue lights shooting out of it. Very cool. Been looking out for the Starlink satellites the last two nights, no sign. They're firing them up at a rate of 60 a day, so guess they'll be a common sight soon enough. Pans Jambo
Went out last night for a look. Seen some meteors and I think a low earth orbit satellite passing but no sign of Starlink. Says tonight at 9:34pm SW to East. I will take the dog for a walk around that time.

Strangely though I had a look on Monday night and seen 3 or 4 of them go by at the time on the website. I think after 10pm the sun has set too far to catch them. Will have a look tonight at half 8 and half 9.

The 9:34pm ones are already up there and in orbit. Starlink website says North of the USA and Canada will have Starlink internet access this year and the rest of the planet by some point in 2021. Brilliant for rural areas and places with poor infrastructure like large parts of Africa and good for SatNav & Search & Rescue etc. but it throws up a lot of questions. How will you connect to it without paying Space X first? Can you see China/North Korea etc. allowing folk internet access that's not been censored by them first (could start a few revolutions if not)? Is this the beginning of the demise of the cable based providers (BT, SKY etc.)? Does this make 5G defunct? I find this fascinating which is really unlike me. Must have some spare time on my hands... Pans Jambo
Watched the launch. Incredible. Whole thing from the launch pad to the rocket returning to land on the boat & the 60 spacelink satelites being deployed was just 16 minutes. Went for a look outside. Shite! Clouds!
