Champion league tax

There must be a way for a champion league tax to be introduced when this is all over.  Clubs will fold but Celtic can still rake it in, that’s morally wrong.  No Scottish Football, no champions league place, time for Celtic to do their bit....

Well, Brother Walfrid had only charitable motives for the club when it was founded. On that basis, I can't see there being any objections from anyone associated with Glasgow Celtic to this idea.

A cut of Champion League prize money should always be distributed amongst the other clubs in the league. That way we might even care more about the coefficient and want other clubs to progress if it gives us tangible reward.

Pretty sure this already happens

It does, pretty sure it will be a pittance but Other clubs do get money when we have teams involved in the champions league.

Think we all got around £250,000 when they last were in champions league, somewhere around that figure anyway.

In light of how poor our TV deal is, some sort of tax should be applied to try and create a bit more competition and security. (say 25%. The few hundred grand we get tossed whilst they scoop £30m is embarrassing, and more insulting than anything else. Like we're supposed to be grateful and glad of their progression? ....lol)

Problem is, clubs like St J, Killie, Midden, Accies are already reliant on the OF teet for a large portion of their income (away end) to the extent that they will likely protest strongly against any league reconstruction which will remove their precious OF games. So I'm hesitant about letting them rely even more on the gruesome twosome.

It would be a great way to invest in the quality of the league and potentially put us in a strong position for a better deal though.
