When will folk start doing this when 1k die in Scotland, 10k,20k or will we wait till Granny dies?

Folks this is real people will die and they won’t just be old or with underlying conditions.

please take heed of Government guidelines.

I see people in large groups everyday and no one seems to be worried.

The folk complaining about the Pub or gym being shut 🙈

Maybe people need direct experience of it happening in there own social circles?...right now it seems it's all happening through the tv screen...i know of no one that has it, do you? The symptoms seem to be the exact same as the cold/flu and many people that have had it have already made a recovery. The biggest cause of death is being born...fact...maybe people should just get on with there lives until it comes to there community. Then they can act...i'm not buying into to much of the fear porn about this....should have had bird flu, sars and ebola  in the last decade to name but a few...can't say i seen these pandemics for my own eyes...defo saw them on a tv screen and in a newspaper though.

Is your post for real?

People should just ‘get on with their lives’?

Speak with you soon - I’m off to the beach now via the busiest bar I can find, for a few social drinks.  Care to join me?

Fancy a barbecue tonight?

Humans are social animals its in our genes, hard to break. We need each other for help, support, even care, that's been our lives suddenly in two weeks here everything, everybody is different. Some by choice, some following what seems to be reasonable advice, and others who just refuse to comply with  or understand the norm of the times.

I have experienced everything you quote in your post and some others. I am in the highest risk category, but was so in the flu, polio etc epidemics, I can honestly say I have never in my eighty five years seen anything like this. Wartime people stuck together, epidemic time we stood in line an got vaccines, there was always food supplies, medical space, and most importantly unlike this a a lack of panic. I feel I am honest in saying its the first time in my life I have felt there is nothing I can do, I was unafraid of physical challenge, epidemic, or political problems, but this is an enemy I cannot see, cannot fight, and have to constantly retreat from, I feel totally inadequate.

You think any Goverment (look up the defintion of the word 'Govern' and 'Mental') give a shiny shite about your health or anyone elses?...you know the one's that would send you off to fight wars that they create in the first place and have proven to lie about to start one...they guys? It frankly staggers me that people can't see propganda when it's in your face every day you turn on a screen or read a newspaper. Sorry if that goes against your subjective world view...Yeah a barbecue sounds great at your place...still a wee bit chilly here in Scotland.

I feel sorry for you if that's what this situation is doing to you. I personally don't feel any fear about this situation...maybe because i do not fear death. It comes to every single living thing and can come at any time..so why the worry?......stress is one of the biggest causes of weakening the immune system and this 'pandemic' seems to be doing just that to most people who are lapping up every bit of info from there lovely fluffy caring goverments.

No subjective world view from me.

Anyhow, the barbecue?

Bring as many pals as you can muster.  We can all have a wee kiss and cuddle and then get tore into the hamburgers, sausages and steaks.

Can we share beer cans?  That always makes parties feel so much more pally.

Don’t be late.

Don't waste any sorrow on me, I have said numerous times on here death is no longer the fear for me that it once was. I state I am 85 years of age my time is limited anyway, but I had had some hope of enjoying life until my time came. For some reason when I read your views I get a picture of an Ostrich with its head in the sand and is unable to truly see what is occurring around it and is making its opinion based on the area which is seeing the world.  I credit you with being optimistic, but although not prepared to believe all that politicians say, I do understand when an enemy arrives on your shores even the politicians have to display honesty to gain the necessary materiel and support to fight it. Victory will provide lots of time to gain accountability as to why the invasion occurred and why the lack of preparation and defence was unavailable.

Your posts which are somewhat contrary do though provide an opportunity for ventilation, and release of stress, for that thanks.

We had our Church service on line this morning and afterwards there was a group chat where people could share what they were doing and how they were dealing with this. One of the members father is on a ventilator now thanks to Covid 19 we are praying he survives.
This is early days but Social Distancing is the minimum you should be doing.

And she's now in quarantine, because she had a pneumonia jag on Friday and the doctor who gave her it has now tested positive.

Tell that to the drama queens who are in their 30s,40s and 50s currently in London’s hospitals who can’t get a bed and ventilator and will be dead in a few hours.

Chuck some undercooked lentils and Jerusalem artichoke in the curry, too. Better safe than sorry.

The less people Social Distance the longer this will last, more dead, longer requirement to social distance the worse the economy will get and the more the Government will TAX us after the event cuss it has huge debt to pay off. Really need to order a shutdown for all of April, short sharp shock.

I did put this on the Coronavirus thread, but probably should put it on here.

My lad is in P7 and obviously had to finish up on Friday. On Thursday evening, a few mums on Facebook said that they wanted to organise a send off at the school. Most of the mums said that they should have a send off for them once this is over. One mum was quite upset, as she lives opposite the school gates and her daughter is ill and would probably witness it and be upset. Anyway, the next day, I wake up and my wife is trying to console my lad who is clearly upset. I asked her what was wrong and they had went ahead and done it, setting off loads of balloons in to the sky etc (🤯) He got upset that classmates had mums and dads there and we weren’t. I was raging, as it mate me feel that my son might think we don’t care. Next day...the same mums are on Facebook going crazy, saying stuff about...when are these idiots going to realise this is serious and you just can’t congregate and they need to isolate, they’re idiots and risking our lives, etc.

You couldn’t make it up, ####ing retards.

Good point about ‘Jack’ there, Gabriel.

Have to admit, after a shaky start to the lockdown here (first couple of days), folk here are now following the rules to the letter.

Mind you, failure to do so comes with an ‘on the spot’ fine of 135€.

Beach and Promenade were made ‘out of bounds’ from today.  It’s like a wee ghost town.

Hope you’re ok?

I’m fine buddy, hope you are too, stay safe. It’s not like it’s asking a lot really to think of others for once and stay indoors for a short period of time  Oh, what will I do without the pub for two or three weeks🙄 Spend some valuable time with your family for once.

Exactly.

We were talking the other day about the ‘regulars’ in Wee Bennets.

It’s their feckin life, sitting in a wee boozer every bloody night, getting pished, popping outside for ‘a fag’.

Jesus, there has got to be more to life than that?

Glad to hear you’re fine, long may it continue .

So being born does not result in death?...right you are then...not an ounce of self discernment going on in this place. Just parroting what the media and goverment(who would never lie to you) are telling you, sharing it on social platforms and helping in ramping up the fear...well done.

Lets see what the NHS really have to say about it and not the media.
