How many trophies have you seen Hearts win?

4.....3 Scottish cups & Scottish championship, the 5-1 game should have been the highlight of the four and obviously was special but the 98 game was and still for me the best one we had a good team that season and played some good stuff we deserved something to show for it just a shame we couldn’t keep that team together longer and got to build on it.

Three Big Cups, and one Championship trophy.

Festival Cup? 🤷‍♂️

Forgot about the Festival Cup. Not at the ER one but was at the 3-1 at Tynecastle in 2004.

Also 2/3 East of Scotland Shield's before it became a youth tournament.

More than I ever thought!

to be honest after years of despair from the final in ‘68 I never thought I’d ever see a trophy ..... but then .....

x3 Scottish Cups!

‘98 vs Rangers the best,
‘12 2nd best

‘06 vs Gretna 3rd best

It still irks me that I’ve never seen a League Cup win ..... one day .....

Haha. Saw our last one, against Killie in  '62.

Was at the '98 one.

Decided to go back for the semi in 06 as opposed to a possible final.

Did go home for what turned out to be the 5-1 final but due to an anxiety thingy I was going through at the  time, had already decided I'd watch it in the Mill.

Have attended others but they don't qualify for the thread title. :(

Just the 2 Scottish cups in 06 and 12. Was alive in 98 but still a bit on the young side.

Championship if we’re allowed to count that

All of these in my lifetime, though most were when I was very young. Born 1954. Actually witnessed the last 3 Cups and the 1962 Norris Davidson League Cup.

2006 and 2012 Scottish Cups

Watched the 1998 Scottish Cup on TV

The lack of silverware for a club of our size is appalling.

It is.

So many titles lost under different circumstances (1915, 1938, 1954, 1957, 1959, 1965, 1986) and, in the last 30 odd years, semi finals squandered. Who knows how many finals we might have won if we'd taken care of:

1986/87  St. Mirren,

1987/88  Celtic

1991/92  Airdrie

1994/95  Airdrie

1998/99  St Johnstone,

2004/05  Motherwell,

2009/10  St. Mirren,

2013/14  ICT

Still, it's all part of the lifelong journey of being a Hearts supporter. It is what it is. 😉💗

Meant to edit out the 1991 sixes as I wasn't actually there.

Not sure if the op meant witnessed or lived through.

The Cup wins need no explanation but I'll always have a wee soft spot for the 1981/82 EoSS. Beat Hibs 2-1 at ER in the semi then Meadowbank 5-0 at Tynie. Means little now but it did at the time.

Also the 1993 Youth Cup. Things were a bit flat, first team wise, but that batch of players (Locke, Ritchie, Thomas, McManus...) was very encouraging.

Attended 2-1 v. Killie in an early round, a 0-6 (0-4 after 10 minutes) mauling of Ayr at Somerset and the 1-3 final at Ibrox. Wiped the floor with Rangers and even missed a penalty, iirc.

Do you mean physically attended winning games or just trophies won during your support?

Can't remember games attended but, everything from the early 50's.

That youth cup was when we first saw the likes of Gary Locke et al. We were all over Rangers that day. Tbh I did feel sorry for their boys when the Hun faithful booed them off the park and we applauded their youngsters as they left the field of play.

We had a huge support that night. Possibly matched the home crowd. Around 2/3k in the upper Broomloan, iirc.

I reckon there was 1k+ at Ayr, too.

Magnificent following for midweek Youth Cup ties.

You're right. The Ibrox final was a bit of a dawdle.

That was indeed a great night. Must be a few on here like me that followed the reserves to clinch their title at Motherwell the day we lost 0-6 at Brockville?

The 1989 Reserve League Cup was a good one, too. We had as strong a starting XI as the first team that night, bolstered by guys coming back from suspension and guys that had been, ahem, rested the previous weekend. Dundee Utd were strong, too, though.

Anyway, 5 proper trophies:

Scottish Division One - 1979/80

Scottish Cup - 1997/98, 2005/06, 2011/12

Scottish Championship - 2014/15

So true.

Disappointments far outnumber the successes, which make the successes all the sweeter.

It must be shit being a Celtic supporter, with multiple trophies every year.  Where's the excitement?

Even more so for "Celtic fans" in Edinburgh, Fife, Dundee...

Where's the genuine joy in supporting a team, even a winning one, from another city? For many, a team they'll rarely, if ever, see in the flesh.

Gi'e me the guid auld Heart of Midlothian any day. Even when we are shite. 💗👍

Make sure there are no razor blades within a mile radius of you if you are watching Hearts play badly next to this one ^ though he will tell you he's just keeping it real.  😄 😉 It's just as well I was in charge of moral . 😆

Please don't include winning the 2nd tier.  Finishing 10th in the premier is a bigger achievement than that.

You are of course correct, however, there were three things that made it a tad special. Hibs being there, newco being there, the way we did it while they did not. 😊

First final was 1976.  Seen us win everything since then.  Waited 22 years for the win in 98 after so many other chances (should have beat Rangers in the league cup that went 3-4)

Anyway 1998 versus Rangers marginally tops the win against the Hobos in 2012. Only because there was such a release from everyone there!  Brilliant day out😀

As I don't count the "championship" just the three. Three more than I expected to see for at least two, maybe three decades of my life.

PS nor of course the old Div One. In fact I had succesfully wiped it from my memory!

You are lucky!! I’ve now seen 7 final defeats!

SC 68, 76, 86, 96 & 19

LC 96 & 13

it was the 5 before 98 that made that the

greatest day and most emotional day in my life!

I’ve been with you all the way (and started vs Killie 0-2 back in the day)

It was for me, and I’m sure you and all others like us from that generation. .... the defeats from ‘68 to ‘98 were heartbreaking .... the finals only came along very infrequently and I never ever thought I’d see Hearts win anything ..... then that day in 98, the Hearts have won the Cup!! Truly emotional, best day of my life!

A petty thing to regret in these times but … I  saw all the failures that others have listed starting with Killie in 1965. And in just the nine years after I was born we won 7 major trophies. I was deemed too wee to see any of them.

Still grateful for the three in the following 58 years!
