Decent footie doc on ITV right now, seen it before - the story of English clubs (dominated by Scots players) keeping the European Cup on British soil for six years. Hit it now, or go to ITV+1.

If it hadn't been for Hysel you do wonder how many more years. Both Liverpool and Everton were great teams in following years

been here before

Saw it when it was first on.

Good two parter.

Liverpool, Forest, Everton, Aston Villa, Ipswich...

It really was a fair amount of success they had. I think a lot of us could probably still name a lot of the players in those teams too.

Nottingham Forest had a great player called John Roberson.

Just saying, like.  :sadrobbo:

Wasn't that who Newcastle thought they were buying when they signed our Robbo.

Never heard that one before, Marvin.

Thanks for not pointing out that I spelt his surname wrong.

 Going back to my post; I heard when they signed him, they had gone on the name and thought they were signing the Scotland winger. Poor wee man forced to sprint up and down the wing for ninety minutes.

14 different Scottish players from 1976-1984 lifted the European Cup

Makes you wonder what happened to the quality of our players! Last Scottish one to lift a European Cup was probably Robertson at Liverpool and before him Fletcher at UTD?

Fletcher! Possibly the most overrated player I have ever clapped eyes on.
