been here before

Cant decide about this. I ****in loathe Pittodrie, stuck in that shitty wee corner where you cant see up the touchline, 26 sheets for the honour as well.

Ill probably end up going though.

Seems they don’t think they will sell though as there is no points restrictions! Never mind got mines already!

I think Aberdeens pricing structure deserves some mention.

They have additional categories for 18 to 21 and for over 75s.

Also £26 quid for most expensive is decent and I think many other clubs, not least ours, could learn from this.

It's worse than Celtic Park for shit views as the stand is so shallow that sitting down means you can't see most of the pitch.

At least at Celtic you have some seats that have a decent view...

And If you have kids you need seats in the front few rows otherwise they can't see anything even if they stand on the chair the whole match.

3 sides of the ground are the some of the worst in the top league in Scotland.

What stops your views? The fence?

I sit in the same stand Block S, so the block next to the away fans.

Location wise, P,Q & R, must be similar to W, X & Y for the home fans, so can only think its the fence thats the issue

you're correct though that the three stands are outdated.

If Kingsford ever gets built, you'll get a nice shiny new allocation behind the goals

The converted terracing isn't steep enough so if you are right at the back of the stand then sitting down you can barely see any of the pitch.
Maybe you lot should have spent some cash on the ground over the years than pissing it on players...

I understand that.

I have to stand pretty much for where me seat is as well.

Most travelling fans prefer to stand anyway do they not?

Kids and older people may not want to stand the whole game.

Kids can't see even if they stand and I imagine that's a problem for home fans in the south stand as well.

Lord Beni of Gorgie

26 quid for a cricked neck. Every club should take up that 20s plenty for away fans, always stuck in the worst location possible

Sorry, meant 5 loyalty points for going, not 5 points needed to get tickets. It's a general sale.

Now just stop it. You seem like a lovely lad/lassie but pittodrie can NOT be defended. By anyone. Ever. On any grounds!

Doesn't Pittodrie literally mean heap of dung, named after the actual heap of dung it's built on?

Nah, their stadium is a shite hole.

£26 is still too much

Their season ticketa) I think are more expensive as well.

In the light of current events I wouldn't be in a hurry to part with cash for an away game that's still three weeks away.

If it had been kept to the Saturday might have sold out but the Friday will put a lot off (me included)so there is no rush anyway.

No longer active

Can’t see any spectators being admitted - it’s 3 weeks away. By then the virus scaremongering by the press will be peaking and I imagine we will be doing the same as in Italy - behind closed doors or even suspended. Watch this space!

It's named after a local landowner who gifted the land to the club.

There was mine works under the ground and as the lady who owned the land was called Audrey it was decided to call the Stadium PITAUDREY. 😁

Before they built the new stand at the Beach End, it was a great place for us to go to. I spent many an afternoon or evening, with a few thousand Hearts fans, cheering the team on. I would imagine that Aberdeen fans wouldn’t have been best pleased about the away end being changed from behind the goal opposite, to the Beach End.
I remember Aberdeen and Clydebank claiming they had the first all seated grounds in Scotland, when all they did was bolt benches to the old terracing. Both wrong, if I remember well, as Meadowbank was the first.

It’s not that long ago that the main terracing was still uncovered too. Probably around 1980 the cover was built?

Their stadium may not be the best I give you that but their pricing structure is vastly fairer than ours. We charge way over the top. I think you might know that. Maybe not.

Fair play to anyone who makes the trip up there on a Friday night.

Even just to Dundee, the only train back from Aberdeen that is feasible is the 23:23 that gets in at 00:45.

For Edinburgh, you're looking at a lovely 5 hour sleep on the platform at Perth if you get the same train, or a night in a hotel.

Thanks, but for such a ridiculous rescheduling, I'm out.

I hope when you build your new stand, you give the away supporters one of the stands behind the goals. Most other clubs do. The bloody fence and being tucked into a corner makes for even more horrific viewing as an away supporter visiting Pittodrie.

That's the plan.

Still can't see Aberdeen going ahead with this.  The supposed 2023 delay will just keep getting pushed back.

The training facilities look good.  The out of town move for the stadium does not.

(not sure why this font is bold)

I hope they do, it could take them out if they have the scale of overspend we experienced. Imagine they had to find another 40m on top of the 50m they plan?

BOLD of you to say that :whistling:

That sort of situation would absolutely kill the club.  They either play in an unfinished stadium in front of no fans, or go bust trying to complete it.  Given their kindness in the results they've given us recently, I'd be keen to keep them around a bit longer

Is number 1 in the key really necessary? Edit. Never meant to quote you.
