Have any of these people heard of the OJ Simpson trial?

Juries get it wrong all the time. How do we know 15 SNP sympathisers weren't sitting on the jury? Whats the truth about the two jurors who left?

It stinks alright. There's a smell on it.

9 woman jurors and a woman trial judge are all members of the SNP noo readers.

It's just they are all as thick as shit and don't get it.

I tend to disagree with this, well half of it anyway. They get it alright but they don't care about right and wrong, truth and lies etc.

Some of the comments made by Salmond's critics in the last page or two are plumbing new depths. They can only allude to Indy supporters being Nazis, claiming Salmond is guilty when acquitted and trying desperately to associate independence supporters with the kind of behaviour Salmond is still being accused of.

Nobody anywhere could for a moment believe that people who espouse the ideas they do on here  have the slightest interest in the welfare of the women making the accusations. They clearly have no concept of fairness and how the actions of these women have worked against the interests of women who might genuinely find themselves the victim of an attempted rape. They don't care about the collateral damage, they just want to damage the indy movement.

They wont engage in any meaningful discussion preferring to deflect by talking about bad ferry deals or ad hom attacks calling people mad and questioning their integrity.

Where they are really stupid though is in once again missing an open goal opportunity to criticise the SNP.  Nevertheless they are gold dust and should be cultivated at every opportunity.

He was filmed on a train, a public place, nothing illegal about that. Only one person in the wrong in this situation and it's not the filmer.

Dont disagree that the lawyer was wrong in his actions. I just happen to think personally I'd be pissed off if some random filmed me having a private conversation with someone and put it on the internet without my consent. Maybe it's just me who thinks that may be wrong though!

This Mark Hirst sounds like an avid reader of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. Such apocalyptic language he's using. Very Gotterdamerung.  Very Night of the Long Knives. With a little Stalinist showtrials thrown in before  quick liquidation. Charming.

Which stone have all these lowlifes crawled out from under in the last 10 years?

I bet its got Nationalism painted on it.

The tragedy for Scotland is that he and his fellow natcases are.

Not quite sure where you would come to the conclusion that I'm an SNP supporter (presume that's what you mean by nat cases?) from my comments. I was merely asking a question with regards to the person who filmed the conversation (presumably without permission). I like how you have drawn a conclusion on my political allegiances from that though. Remind me never to ask for your advice on putting a coupon on though if that's how good you are at guessing things!

I have to say, this thread is now becoming borderline libellous.

He was found not guilty on all but one charge, which was not proven. The trial is over.

Discussions about him, his character and politics belongs in another thread. This should be closed IMO.

The unionists have him guilty, end of story. A jury finding different makes no difference to those rabid uj flag waving loonies. I love their tears and snotters, with the ring leader even having a week off to buy a new phone as the other got chucked at the telly when the verdict came in I presume. My last post on this thread as, in capitals for the brain dead, THE TRIAL IS OVER.

Is this the evidence that Salmond wanted heard but it was denied?

I’d love to hear this, if so.

No

What he wanted heard was a series of communications that suggested collusion between witnesses.

b. Court hearing from a police inspector who was part of Operation Diem, investigation into Alex Salmond. He conducted Skype interview with a celebrity; video played back in court where celeb says he was at a dinner with the first minister and Woman H. In police interview, celebrity says atmosphere at this Bute House dinner was “jovial, optimistic, friendly”; he says one bottle of wine was shared between four people, “nobody was throwing punches and drunk”. Was anyone under the influence? “Not really, no.”  Court also hears from Yes Scotland staffer who says Woman H never mentioned being at dinner with the celebrity to him.

Against that, there was a vague statement by the actor that he believed a fourth person had been present, but he described her hair colour as different to woman H, described her as wearing jeans when woman H said she was wearing a dress, and did not say the woman had her arm in a sling – which it was established woman H’s arm was at that time. One arm in a sling would be pretty debilitating in eating and the sort of detail about a fellow diner at a very small dinner party you would likely remember.
