Gigs you are going to

I don’t go to many gigs at all these days but already got tickets for EXTC at the Queen’s Hall at the end of May and Ron Sexsmith at Cottiers in Glasgow early June. Anyone been to Cottiers before - decent venue?

Next ones on the horizon  are:

The Jesus and Mary Chain in London

Simple Minds in Cardiff

And Level 42 in Cardiff.  Pure and simply to see HIPSWAY, the support band. I'll likely leave before Mark King gets on stage.

Billy Sloan was enthusing about EXTC the other night. I think they've got an Associates tribute band supporting (Band A?).

Samuel Camazzola

No music ones as yet. Need to be quite selective these days as a lot of the prices are high.

In terms of comedy, considering Rob Brydon in Perth. Will miss Ricky Gervais in April but hopefully he does some more dates later in the year.

Only a couple in the diary so far: Jon Hopkins next week at the Usher Hall and Nick Cave at the Hydro in May.

Maybe Thee Oh Sees and Beck depending on travel plans. Missing Meatraffle and Caribou in April.

Already seen Curses do a dj set and Geneva. Still to come are Humanist, Nick Cave, John Grant and Mark Lanegan. Throw in an Alfos club night and festival in Carcassonne, depending on what happens after Andrew Weatherall’s sad passing and it should be a decent year.

Nick Cave too... I'd forgotten about him him on my previous list.

Saw him last year with q&a and a piano. Looking forward to the full-band experience.

Nick Cave is a fantastic performer. You'll love it. An amazing catalogue of songs for him to draw upon.

I wouldn't pay money to see him again.

Think the problem is people want him to play loads of Jam songs and he won't.

I include myself in that as well, hence why going to see From The Jam once again next month.
