Asked on the BBC's Sunday Morning programme today if she can see people wearing masks for 'months or years to come', in Scotland, Ms Sturgeon said: 'I hope not. I don't want any of these measures to be in place for any longer than is necessary.

Yeah the line I seen almost straight away in the article. It’s the Daily Mail though I guess it really is for the utter mincey heeds who see a headline and swallow it whole.

Thank the Lord the pandemic is officially over as Sturgeon said that her and the SG would concentrate on defeating the virus and indy would be shelved until then

Sturgeon said: “The preparatory work of that (holding a second referendum) is under way right now. We haven’t decided on the date we would seek to introduce the bill, we’ll decide that in the coming weeks.

or has she LIED yet again

Come on then name a date.  Lets get this over and done. Again.

Sturgeon plans to introduce independence bill in 'the coming weeks' - STV News

No doubt it will be announced in the lead up to local elections in May. Their voters will willingly buy into this as its telling  them what they want to hear, without actually delivering it.  That should be enough to tide them through the elections.

The is all starting to feel a bit Willie Wonka, with Veruca Salt sayings she's got the golden ticket, but actually it's just a never ending gobstopper.

Yep.

When I hear them both not answering questions and not taking responsibility .

Or when I hear I cant recall I wasnt aware.

Fair assessment from me I'd say.

The SNP have failed to deliver any of their manifesto promises and might actually be aa incompetent as the other lot.

Your last sentence is just a total lie but expected from a unionist

Same for all political parties. SNP will get my vote because the rest are awful and no policies for Scotland at any level. I don't agree with everything that the SNP do but I distrust all Westminster parties. I'm ex Labour and will stay that way. Starmer and Sarwar are continuing the hopeless trend!

Which manifesto promises have either government delivered?

Abolish council tax.....nut

Reduce class sizes to 18....nut

Provide Grant's for first time buyers....nope

Since 2007 there are 1700 fewer teachers in Scotland

The attainment gap between rich and poor kids is wider.

Posters saying they dont like them but vote for them because they want independence.

Guess what they haven't delivered that either.

I had replied but it never saved for some reason. Here are the first 3 from the May 2021 promises.

4% pay rise for NHS staff

Double the Scottish Child payment

Freeze income tax rates and bands

I get where u are coming from, but the raison detre of the SNP is independence.

They failed to deliver it in 2014 and despite being successful in elections since, appear no nearer on actually delivering another referendum. At what point - if ever - do their voters stop accepting the empty promise of something that is not in their gift to give?

For some it's the currency thing or the comfort blanket of the UK. They talk about Nicola Sturgeon being Mammy! I'm not needing convinced as self governance is natural.

I'm left of centre, I'm into independence.

Let's just say for argument's sake that I agree and think "I'm not voting SNP any more"

Who do I vote for?

Labour?

Libdems?

Nope!

Unionists can tut all they like, there is no alternative until we're independent.

If they have the tactical foresight, Snp and alba will combine forces, with Snp only putting forward constituency candidates and Alba only putting forward list candidates to maximise the nationalist vote and get a dominating separatist voice in Holyrood.

Even best expensive masks do not guarantee 100% they only claim to reduce transmission

No.

I think Scotland is caught in a benefit trap .

Doesnt mean I think after 15 years of SNP governance they dont deserve criticism.

In fact they deserve to be ripped a new one.

That's fair enough.

Except you defend the bunch of monkeys running the show at every turn.

I'm conservative.

I do not defend a conservative party that thinks raising tax rates brings in more money .

Its proven not to.

And if you think Scottish independence will be a success with socialism I'm afraid you just dont see what's went before

Not breaking a union.

But fixing Scotland.

And we can never do that while part of the Union.

The main reason being is we conveniently blame England.

Our psyche is pathetic and the SG dinnae half play on it.

Actually yes.

It has many faults but it has delivered in much more substantial ways than any Socialist regime.

Better educated

Better health

Less state murder.

Socialism doesnt work.

Even the Chinese realised that

You are like a hare out the trap when they are criticised.

Their record on the health service.

You and others point blank refused to acknowledge that when I posted about how they had failed.

They're shit .

They are on a par with the current clowns down the road.

Scotland is like Ireland and its conservative.

I honestly think the Scottish Conservative party would pose a better threat if they dropped their unionist bit.

Ok, you're a separatist.

I don't know what you're on about with socialist regimes though, there's somewhere in between socialist regimes and the right wing cluster **** that dominates britain.

I want Scotland to be a fairer place than the UK is, I'm not apologising for that

That's the crux of it for me. I want independence and would have voted for them, but if I had I wouldn't be again. They've got a single purpose and despite the horror show in Westminster they're not a jot closer to delivering independence imo. Much like their other policies, they simply don't have the ability to deliver on things sadly.

Another boot in the baws for the SG with this. About time too. What were they thinking really? Trying to curry favour with a minority with a policy which has serious impact on many others.  Hope they see sense and boot in into touch.

I'm confused by that article. Why shouldn't someone be allowed to self-declare their gender? That said the whole thing is dated hogwash imo.
