The Holyrood result in 2011 broke the system and allowed a minority view to overshadow the people of Scotland ever since. Since then, Alex Salmond and Nicola Sturgeon have both failed in their only objective. The cost of pursuing an 'the end justifies the means' campaign is returning home to roost. And that is before any mention of sexual/financial indiscretions, that have been reported so far. Now, in 2020, it seems like The SNP are finished. Always worth remembering how this thread started... He wasn’t in politics at the time and it was a totally independent broadcast. Why was he being asked his opinion about Salisbury poisoning? What the **** has that got to do with him or anything remotely to do with the Scottish elections? How can anyone come to the conclusion that Alex Salmond is some sort of undercover agent working for Russia? 🤦♀️ I have just listened to the bbc radio broadcast and Salmond absolutely roasted the interviewer. 7 hours ago, Roxy Hearts said: British propaganda as usual. They'll just jump on any negative story and either embellish or contort it. Alex normally roasts interviewers. Good on him and need more of it especially from the SNP! A fair question. Another question is if Alex Salmond's life is dedicated only to Scottish independence why does he appear on Russian state funded TV, therefore giving it credibility. On the matter of Salisbury, similar say to encouraging people to take the Covid vaccine, Alex Salmond is a man of credibility, power and authority (sorry Nicola, but he is). He has cast doubt on the credible evidence this was a state attack and so casting doubt on that is just succour to Russia and the conspiracy theorists. One day an independent Scotland will have its own foreign policy and will have to decide who it wishes to be friends with.

This is it for me. Do people really think that people want to remain in the union simply because they like the Union Flag? People have concerns over jobs, pensions, mortgages and their children's future. I would gladly have the flag of Uganda on my passport if it meant a better life for my kids. And I would selfishly take independence in a heartbeat if it meant I would be better off financially. But I wont risk it on a promise, especially to a party that has no concern for mine or my kids future once they have achieved their only goal. Show me concrete factual evidence my life will be better and I am getting out the blue and white war paint. Until then I will always be against it.
