Hoping Sibbick has recovered.  If his twitter feed suggests anything, then he’s well enough to be watching Sky and playing FIFA all day.

Well if he can manage that he can certainly run about for 90 minutes!!!

Doh.

The forecast for Paisley on Friday is heavy rain all day (and strong wind) so the game could be in doubt.

Can't remember if they have a grass or plastic pitch

Either has to be a three at the back for me or smith at right back for Clare. Hopefully we’ll have Sibbick back who we’ve missed for his mobility and presence in the middle of the park.

Have you noticed Sibbick falls into the same category as Stendel, i.e has done very little to justify the opinion on him.  I agree Sibbick played well versus The Rangers but we need to see a lot more of him before he can be considered brilliant for us.

All I know is that in the games he’s played he’s offered a lot more in the middle of the park than Smith, Langer and Irving, who whilst has showed flashes has a tendency to disappear in games.

Appreciate it’s all about opinions and you’re right he’s not been around long enough to properly judge however from what I have seen I would pick him over the others all day long.

The Stendel point, which has been done to death on other threads, is that he’s trying to play a system that the players are incapable of playing currently, mainly at the back. However it’s this system which has brought him success and also this system which has alerted us to hire him so if he abandons it now we won’t get better at playing that way. The gamble is that if we persist and manage to escape relegation I believe we’ll be in a great position next year to have a strong season, with a few signings, however we could also go down.

Honking in the 2nd half at Perth, but possible he was all virused out by then

Best players in their favoured roles.

I would go something like this

Zlamal; Smith/Hickey/Garuccio (2 from 3 whoevers fit), Souttar, Halkett; Bozanic, Irving, Walker, Washington; Naismith, Boyce.

4-4-2 simple, solid, no suicidal press, hold onto the ball, that front 4 don't need to do anything complicated with their ability.

Souttar and Halkett will benefit from having a line. Not a great lover of Bozanic, but he will work his socks off

Captain Canada

It would be great to have wide players who can cross the ball or take people on.

Clare has improved a lot but has zero assists in the league this season. I can't remember if I posted a team on another thread but I'd go for this now if everyone's fit:

Bobby

Smith Halkett Dikamona Hickey

Donis Irving Sibbick Washington

Boyce Naismith

Subs: Stone, Souttar, Brandon, Bozanic, Walker, Moore and Clare

Donis is due a good game and if he can cut out the daft fouls, I think his pace will help us get up the pitch and put them under pressure.

Washington looked good and got an assist at the weekend from the left wing.

If Smith, Hickey and Sibbick aren't fit, then I'd pick Brandon, Garuccio and Bozanic to start.

Can folk not read Toby has been housebound for about two weeks lucky if we see him by end of month, he is also a Barnsley reserve and not about to change much.

I was really hoping Donis would it the ground running and be a wee cult hero like Milinkovic.

How long until the next player who fits KC & Sunshine band Give It Up :(

Does he live in the main stand? This was him on Sunday. He did well against Rangers and in the first half in Perth. He can help the defence.

We now know that they can score goals but have a leaky defence.  They can collapse for one half of a game.  So can we.

I'm changing my forecast to us sneaking it 9-7.

Even before Ogkmpoe opened the scoring at the weekend, he'd already run free and got a shot on target. Obika plays in a similar fashion for St.Mirren and did the same against Motherwell last night. Whoever is playing at the back on Friday, someone will need to take responsibility for him because they cannot keep passing the buck and hoping the other will cover.

Boyce struggling for Friday, Lange confirmed still out as is Sibbick.

No mention of Smith, Hickey or Clare though, so I would go -

GK - Zlamal

RB - Smith

CB - Souttar

CB - Dikamona

LB - Hickey

RM - Clare

CM - Irving

CM - Halkett
LM - Walker

ST - Naismith

ST - Washington

Boyce being out gives them a lift. Hoping sibbick can make it, even if he can only manage 60 minutes.

Tough task given our form but I want to see more battle and bite from us and maybe we can take control of a game from the kick off and not shoot ourselves in the foot before we even get started!!

Washington's best game IMO was up top against Motherwell away in Cup, he's not done too much since injury but we need him to lead the line on Friday.

I wouldn't have Clare anywhere near the defence to be honest. A goal start for the opposition. Defending has been a real problem for him again. His best work is anywhere out of our own third

Disagree. Yes he gave a penalty away, but ultimately the blame lies with Souttar for that disaster. Clare has been our best player for weeks now.

What a mess Stendel has had to inherit,  two of our best midfield players Sibbick and Haring both out, and the guys to replace them the midfield generals that are Bozanic and Irving.

We are f****** pish man!!!

Squad depth your having a laugh, not one creative midfielder in there, all fecking cloggers signed by the master plan.

Hoping we can somehow get a win but players have to step up big time.
