Surely it is his own hair?

I heard that he shaves another area of his body and uses double-sided sticky tape to re-apply it to his head.

He has not been a great player for years.

If you’ve watched him play for Derby recently you wouldn’t be saying that 👍

My mate is a Derby fan. Says you can instantly tell the difference in quality when he's playing. Streets ahead of everyone else.

Results aren't any better though.

Will Rooney want more than mid table?

Well, aye. In that he paid for it. It is his own, like, I mean, he owns it ... In the same sense that my old mum owns her false teeth. :teeth:

They are a bit better- they were in freefall before January.  Rooney has brought them back to a level but he's surrounded mostly by terrible players, and a dreadful keeper.

We all thought that for a few weeks about Tziolis :)

Can he play in goals?

Yes used to go in goals during training at United and even impressed Sir Alex with how good he is as a keeper

Fair enough.

Last game before Rooney played Derby were 17th, 9 points from the Play Offs and 9 points from the relegation places.

After the midweek defeat to Bristol City, Derby are 13th, 10 points from the Play Offs and 13 points from the relegation places.

So safer from relegation but no better off in promotion race.

Captain Lithuania

Folk saying Rooney isn’t a great player. He certainly is at that level. Explains some of the stupid things people shout at Tynecastle. Some of you must sit near me.

Oh no, miles off it. I think that they'd have kept going down the table rather than up it if Rooney wasn't there though. He's steadied them but they're still pretty rubbish.

Will be Derby Manager next season when Cocu sacked at the end of this one, with them mid table.

May be lower than that if they get points docked for falling foul of FFP.

exactly.. 1 player doesn’t make a team, ask Steven Naismith.. but Rooney was a world class player, and it still a class above pretty much anyone in the SPL

Rooney was shit hot and still good enough to play premier league

Must be a good chance he will move back there.

Who knows what is in his contract. Derby are very ambitious and maybe thought he could get them up this season. But maybe has a release clause.

They’re slipperier than Man City. They’ll keep dodging that bullet somehow. They’ll sell the ground again, rent it back, pay Rooney with hair transplants and get him to pay all the players wages with sauna visits or something.

If Derby are going to mount a promotion challenge, get a run of wins then beating promotion favourites Fulham tonight would be the start.

Sky Sports/ Main Event 7.45pm.

Very fair point guys.

Derby treading water even with Rooney's contributions.

Wasn’t aimed at you, Mikey.

Rooney was superb tbh.

Derby clearly not going for promotion this season according to Phillip Cocu.

Seemed confident saying it and obviously expects to be given time.

Bit of financial doping gone on at Derby though so I hope they crash and burn.

Seen Rooney live a few times, brilliant footballer.
