Maybe they will shock us and provide updates on the website / twitter about the game itself?

Maybe you will shock us and say a kind word about the club.

I thought it was suppose to be on Tuesday.  Was it moved?

Looking at the forecast it looks like heavy snow.  Tuesday looks better for the weather.

Say What Again

29’ | 2-1 Hearts are in front. Smith does well to keep the ball in the box and slide in Denholm who finishes from close range.

Doyle wont be playing first team football.  He was told to find a new club.  Only way he's getting in is if Joel and Bobby get injured.

Go on Calum!

No offence but why are folk so terrified of the weather these days? It's a bit cold, windy and snowy. It's February in Scotland. Players aren't going to lose body parts because of frost bite.

I think because of all weather, wind is the worst to play in. Anyone who has played football will agree.

It's an awful spectacle and and supporters are short-changed having to watch it.

It's windy a lot.

Your last paragraph just describes having a Hearts season ticket....

Played I weather like this for Pirniehall primary against Drylaw primary at Warriston way back in early 74. We lost 6-4, but I scored my first goal in school football. Loved playing in this weather. It was an orange mite dimple ball that day.

Between the reserves and the U18s, Makovora seems to have been

a regular scorer recently (and his goal last week against Dundee Utd reserves looked a cracker; better than Morrison’s but not as well caught by the camera)

The match has apparently been abandoned so maybe a bit worse that a bit cold, windy and snowy.

And with an hour played the match had been abandoned. Snowfall had made it too difficult to see the lines according to the ref so despite Hearts leading 3-1, the match will be replayed.

Hardly the beast from the east!

Could they not have just swept the lines and played it to a finish?

Wee souls these days.

Poor 1st goal.   Went to ground before ball was struck and it was then just lifted over him.

The players, well Hearts at least seemed quite happy to play on, saying it wasn't that bad. The ref consulted with both benches. I suspect Hamilton were happy to abandon.

As for sweeping the lines, I'm not sure why it wasn't tried, the lines were getting covered a bit before half-time, but were still visible. The wind died a bit at the start of the second half and the snow got heavier which then did make the white lines impossible to see. Not sure who would be responsible for doing the brushing as obviously we only hire the pitch from Oriam.

Cant see that being an unsurmountable problem.

Ultimately you would think not, but you would need more than one brush and who do you borrow it from?

Whilst the match is underway, and how long should the ref delay the match for,  brushes to be borrowed and people to walk round the pitch brushing the lines. And then having to do them again a few minutes later.

Talk about making a simple, straightforward job difficult.

Im amazed people have managed to do it for 100 odd years when you put it like that.
