Do we have to give them the whole school end I can't mind how it goes in the cup.

I'd give them the least amount of tickets we can

Sadly yes.

We play Hibs on the Tuesday so it has to be Saturday. Surely they wouldn't have us playing sunday/Tuesday

Wouldn’t surprise me.

I've lost count how many easy Scottish Cup ties Hibs have got since 2012 especially.

Unfortunately a few against us.

Pricing will be interesting too, if the clubs don’t agree, it will be standard category A pricing, which is not cheap.

Need to maximise our capital as it could be our last big payday. Prices need to be high and as AB is a business woman, then they will be Cat A prices for sure

Probably move the derby from Tuesday -Wednesday now.

BT Sport are showing the Livi v Celtic game on the Wed. Doubtful they'd agree to move the derby to clash with that.

Is there any rugby that weekend?

Not at Murrayfield. Scotland's next home game is France on 8 March 3pm.

I hope your right sunday I'm away with the wife for a well deserved break.

Celtic play Thursday in Europe so bound to be Sunday,  premier will want Rangers as their game also,  got to be Saturday since they play on Wednesday then in midweek again,  as we do on the Tuesday.

Can't be anything other than Saturday,  lunchtime or teatime is the question

League fixtures will not be rearranged.

Need to fit in.

Neither Friday or Saturday is ideal for Rangers, suits us fine.

2011 seems to be the last time the uglies pulled eachother out in the cup before hampden, fifth round

Which also happens to be the last time they played in the evening as it went to a replay. The “shame” game at Celtic Park.

They’ll be wanting to avoid a repeat at all costs.

They get the full stand anyway?

Correct. I was responding to several posts suggesting we should give them less.

Be interested to know this one as well.

One of our resident anoraks must know!

I don’t think I can remember them being drawn straight out the hat at the first opportunity in any cup competition. I didn’t think I could remember them being drawn against each other outside the semi or final but I think now I’ve thought about it, there was a cup replay once and I think loads got sent off as it was a night time replay.

Would imagine it would be unpopular to charge £39.50 with booking fee for Wheatfield & Main Stand upper seats.

We've got every chance of beating them, particularly on the back of the last result. I don't think they're a particularly good team and if we sort our defence out I think we can go into that game with confidence.

Good draw. An outside chance  of progressing and to borrow a phrase a bit of a money spinner ... money we may need. If we don't progress we can focus 100% on the thing that really matters for the rest of this season.

Just checked on the London Hearts site and I was amazed to see how few are the occasions we have played them at Tynecastle in my lifetime (born 1963).

1968 Won 1-0 Donald Ford (QF Replay)

1986 Won 3-2 McAdam, Mackay, Robbo (R3)

1995 Won 4-2 Miller, McPherson, Robbo, Thomas. (R4)

And that’s it. 25 years at Tynie, 20 years since we last drew them anywhere. Not lost at Tynie to a team out of Ibrox since 1957! Keep the good work up Hearts!

Do any of you clever people know what the odds are for Hearts v Hibs. My first thought was 8/1 but then I started thinking it might not be that simple, any thoughts anyone?

I'm not clever, but I would think that it would be 1 chance in 14.

The possibilities for Hearts are either, a) at home to 1 of 7 teams or, b ) away to 1 of 7 teams. That's a total of 14 possibilities, one of which is at home to Hobos.

I could be wrong.

They may have one of the games played on Friday night and one on Saturday Lunchtime and maybe move the Derby to Wednesday as well.

That would perhaps be the most sensible outcome for everyone.

Will be interesting pricing for this one, in our benefit if we can get a full home end, hopefully not the usual over 30 quid nonsense

I think it's brilliant draw. Win-win. If we beat them, great. If not then we don't have a cup run distracting us from the issue at hand - staying in the Premiership. Frankly any of the teams in the last eight could beat us in the QFs so IF we're going out it may as well be to one of the Ugly Sisters.

Rangers forced to play away from Ibrox?   Again?    Is it an SFA / catholic conspiracy yet?

Yup.

But made easier to swallow by giving the game to Madden to referee.

What round?

Scottish Cup only (pre-Semi Final Old Firm matches):

2010-11: L16

2004-05: L32

2003-04: QF

1996-97: QF

1990-91: QF

1989-90: L16

After that, you need to go back to 1969-70.  Between 1970-71 and 1988-89, they played each other five times (all in the final).

Meaning that they've drawn each other pre-Semi Finals six times in 50 years.

And that should put to bed the paranoia of Celtic and Rangers not being drawn together.

Also the ridiculously easy draw we got to the final last season.

We beat them last month and deservedly so .

Give us a decent chance of beating them again   Probably more so than being drawn away to any team other than  Caley .

Its a decent draw and on they'll be a bit apprehensive of .

Not really.  If I were paranoid I could easily counter by suggesting that neither would get drawn at a venue they struggled at.

Can't see how its rigged these days but there were some staggering odds around 20 years ago of how they had managed to avoid one another in semifinal games but they have been regularly in the modern era of public transparent draws.

70s and 80s I think it was fairly obvious there was foul play

Didn't need a penalty to beat rangers. Funny how football works.

Is a bold claim to say you think hearts might struggle to beat them though. Rest of us expecting a walk in the park.

Did we not avoid Hibs for a long number of years until the Fozzy game?

And Rangers had an uninspiring 2 0  home win  against a team at the bottom of that league.

Lucky bugger 😂. I wasn’t at any. Only 4 in 68, working in Austria in 86 and on holiday in 95. I’ve only ever seen us against them in the weeg in the cup, 76 final being the first.
