Some age.

Probably only Olivia de Havilland left from that era103 as well.

Sad to see the old ones go. I bet he had some great memories to help him through his old age. Maybe not always the best actor but never less than charismatic.

Sad to hear he's gone, made many great pictures including Spartacus which was a classic and landmark film. Rip.

Rest in peace Kirk.

Paths of Glory is a great film and Spartacus is a good way to while away a couple of hours. Anyway...

Tragedy.

103 is no age. Sending my thoughts and prayers to the family.

His wife is some age too, expect her to drop off pretty quickly now.

Kirk was one of the good guys though, donated millions to charity apparently.

One of only a few left from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Norman Lloyd & Olivia de Havilland are probably the most famous from that era left.

You had a good innings Kirk.

Privileged life?

Everything he had he'd worked for, I've no issues with someone coming from the sheer poverty & poor beginings as Kirk Douglas had done and work their way to the top.

Also gave millions away to charity over the years.

Never meant it in a bad way. He obviously earnt his wealth but still very luck to have the talent and longevity.

Maybe privileged was the wrong word.

I was just reading about some of his donations.  Among a load of other gifts, he gave $40 million to some Alzheimer care facility and to mark his 99th birthday made donations totalling $80 million. Remarkable.

Travelled all over the world doing charity work.

Had to laugh reporting he didn’t leave any money to his son considering he’s a multi millionaire in his own right.
