It was quite a stark contrast to Dyer's appointment at Killie. He has even less experience than Stendel and is also not Scottish - two of the main criticisms of Stendel's appointment. Of course Steven Gerrard also fulfils the non-Scottish and zero experience profile, don't remember much criticism of Rangers over that appointment either. Incredible a manager with good English and Bundesliga management experience arriving in Scotland was slated like that for no reason.
