Hairdryer
Does anyone know if Edinburgh having a firework display for the uk coming out of the EU
Francis Albert
Something seldom mentioned in these discussions is the (in some cases large) tariffs the EU imposes on food imports from outside the EU. One central policy of the EU and it's predecessors has been the protection of European agriculture and farmers from competition from lower cost producers outside Europe, by a combination of these tariffs and subsidies to European farmers which directly and indirectly increase the cost of food to the consumer. (Someone once described the initial Common Market as a form of German reparation to France After WW2 by protecting inefficient French farming). Sorry wrong thread. Meant to post in the Happy Brexit Day thread. Perhaps a kind moderator could relocate the post?
