Maybe, but the purpose of the investment, fan ownership, is being delivered. Might feel differently if that wasn't the case and the money was being passed to a privately owned club. Section Q
Big mistake for them allowing funds being redirected to player purchases/wages. Not much chance of them owning their club now.
Don Dan
The difference, as I see it, is both ventures set out to buy the Club(s) we achieved our goal with dedication and sustained commitment. HSL was a poorly run and supported venture that tried to mimic ours. It was doomed to fail and kept up the the now renowned pattern of Hibsing it. Not much chance of them owning their club now. The HSL cash always went to the playing budget, although they previously got shares in return. What has hit them is their failure to raise enough funds to buy shares from STF quickly enough, allowing Ron Gordon to be able to obtain a majority shareholding, before HSL reached their first target of a 25% stake. HSL wasn't shafted by Ron Gordon. It was shafted by STF selling out. Just imagine the outcry if AB broke the agreement with FOH and sold out to a third party having taken £m's of fans cash. (I don't know if the agreement is legally watertight).
Poseidon
Hibs wanted fans to have 51% initially. Dempster was giving it big licks about the first of it's kind pish and here we are 5 years later after a couple of failed attempts and HSL own 15% with other minority shareholders another 15-20%. Cant wair to see their commemorative shirt effort.

Though arguably Hibs have been in crisis for 40 years, saved only by their Cup win.

Victorian
We've been to the pit of hell and back with a catastrophic collapse and the current state of play is that they're 12 points ahead of us and not even in the same league as us financially. They'll finish 5th and we'll maybe finish 9th or 10th. Small consolation when the huge financial gap will still be there. Miserable rats. Rudy T
They've spent their time obsessing over our finances while Ron the Con has been giving them the Peruvian boaby. For as long as they remain in the top half of the league he'll get away with it, until they start to slide down the league, by then it'll be too late. Ex member of the SaS
Whilst I would never wish a club to die ( other than Sevco ) it's fun watching them try to imitate us and fail ( as usual ). It's nearly 50/50 on whether to stop HSL donations. They put money into the club ( for players ) yet are still struggling. Once FoH owns the club, donations will be going into our own club while theirs will be lining Ron pockets.
