New Zealand and Australia, both islands, like us, took action quickly and gained massive benefit compared to the U.K..

The U.K. government were shown what was happening in Italy, and didn’t pay attention, had a false sense of readiness, or were prepared to lose lives for herd immunity.

History will judge them.

I'm not sticking up for the government but Australia and NZ are at the arse end of the planet and a lot easier to shut down than the UK which has one of the busiest international hub airports in the world and the biggest in Europe.

They’re also much closer to China, with similar social cultures as us.They took decisive action and suffered much less than us.

Cummings reportedly was one of the main people arguing for lockdown in the end.

I don't think there can be any hiding place from the Government's failures. They showed zero urgency for over 6 weeks when they needed to shut down. They let the virus in by not stopping flights.

Can't see the Government surviving when it all comes out. Stopping it coming out is the best plan. Delay.

Johnson, Cummings and Hancock want UK people to acquire “herd immunity” to Covid19. Their entire strategy is designed to achieved that in a phased and delayed way, to prevent NHS collapse .. Robert Peston in March

Ok

I stand corrected.

Similar distances.
Australia and New Zealand still reacted much quicker than the U.K..

Result is minimal deaths compared to this country.

As a small island we should have been on par with them both but tourism is far more important to us clearly.

I meant closer by distance, which I caused confusion with. They are a similar distance as the U.K. from China.

Replying to
Good. Shame on Cummings a 13 year old boy named Ismail died without his family by his bedside and they didn't even attend his funeral because, they abided by the rules. Meanwhile, that ****wit Cummings drove from London to Durham with the gov aware.

Neighbours angry at bloke  who is a public health menace and showed no remorse.

In fact he goaded people when confronted about it.

Him & his wife are bare faced liars and a social menace.

Just because they're his neighbours and are put at risk by his ridiculous behaviour you think isn't cause for anger. You must be trolling.

As one of those involved in SPI-B, the Government advisory group on behavioural science, I can say that in a few short minutes tonight, Boris Johnson has trashed all the advice we have given on how to build trust and secure adherence to the measures necessary to control COVID-19.

Have you not learnt anything from your earlier post ?

The drama on the street he lives in has been caused by HIM AND HIS WIFE lying to the public

Well done the neighbours who are now showing him and Boris it will not be swept under the carpet...oh and it was his neighbours shouting at him not the media...Love the way you tried to include his family in a vain attempt to get some sympathy

People who have sacrificed daring to tell someone a few home truths..'jail them all' will be part of his next conversation with Boris

...good thing is they'll recognise the police have called at their door unlike him or his family

I wonder when that conversation will take place..tonight or around 6am tomorrow just as reaction is printed and radio starts to discuss in more detail ?

He will though.

He’s done little but talk about Covid 19. Not much action in the way of getting the NHS staff the equipment they desperately needed. Sending infected elderly people from hospital into care homes, to make room in the underfunded hospitals, that he said were “fully prepared”. The invisible man when the awkward questions surface.
He’ll do the same with Brexit. Cummings will tell him to blame Johnny Foreigner, and keep his head down when the pesky press ask what’s going on.
He’ll send out the “B” team of Raab etc., to take the heat.

He wants to be Prime Minister but doesn’t know how to do it, without Cummings.

That's the key to it all. When Boris was Mayor he didn't know what to do so he bought in people who did. He was rolled out to promote the Boris Brand or to join political scraps he could win. He has a lot of these people around him now that he couldn't do without, but Cummings runs govt. He's the man. Boris can't see himself getting through the next few months without him, and even without considering the virus, the short term future looks ****ing dodgy. So that's why he's called it in my opinion. The anger and outrage, even within his own party suggests he's got it wrong, but what do I know.

Ok Prime Minister (Boris) for me to get you out of any mess, you need to tell me everything.

Are you sure that is everything.

Thanks, now I have everything I need, for me to do as I please.

Western China to London is a significantly shorter distance than any distance between mainland China and any point in Australia isn't it? New Zealand, even further still? I've started doubting myself now given all these posts on it 😂😂 nice distraction I guess. Might look it up later too as I'm quite interested now.

Lots of different aspects.

Why did he leave London where his wife has family?

Re Durham, he is alleged to have gone outside his residence. Of course lying is no longer automatic resigning factor.

But could have breached the emergency powers which is a fine.

Again his importance to the Government means it might not matter.

Story here
