Does it?

never knew that, any idea why they are closing it?

Sorry, no idea why.

Not convinced how successful 'drive through' was albeit the Gyle and RHS are now considered 'drive through' due to onsite car parking availability.  Assume Pyramids the same.

I'll try and find out tomorrow for certain but the article in The Scotsman suggests that from Monday you can go to any mass vaccination centre in Lothians for a fortnight to be second AZ dosed early if 8 weeks plus (apart from Lowland Hall at RHS which is today till Sunday).  So EICC or Younger 'should' be available

Or if you can get to RHS by Sunday they will give you a second one.

Might even get a soldier to vaccinate you.  And they don't hang about.  They ask the standard medical questions but it's no negotiations, small talk.

Tell you what, James, you'd have gone full Beatlemania if you'd met the guy who gave me my first vaccine shot back in May.  Irish army, full camouflage kit, late 20s, blonde, athletic build, and an absolute gent.

The lady who gave me my second shot was a sweetheart, but really not your type.

Yes, I think the same. Sturgeon imo does not want a referendum any time soon but wants to keep calling for the power to have one. As soon as the Covid pandemic is "over" - her stipulation - she will come under pressure from her own party, to have one.  As long as there are "emergency powers", you can argue that "we're not through this...".

In addition,  I do think she enjoys the control and power ...

The UK Gov's Coranavirus Act 2020 gave them emergency powers for 2 years.

But yes, let's freak out about the SNP wanting them until Autumn.

Is that not what the odd linesman kept banging on about leading up to the election ?

Forget talk of Indy2 and concentrate on getting through this ?
we’re not through this was his sound bite !

They don't have control over furlough so if the Chancellor turns that off they will have to decide to shut down businesses and put people out of work.

Handcock in front of the committee now.
Dominic Cummings’s has produced no evidence to back up his claims that Handcock is a dick.

A long while back I forecast that lots of people might tend to become generally more amiable and less inclined to be obnoxious once the big recovery was in full swing and people were getting their lives back.  I think I've noticed that to be largely the case but it's almost familiar and reassuring to get the odd twat who can literally start an argument in an empty house.  :)

A number of employers are now advertising new jobs, with vaccination requirements included as essential. I suspect someone might challenge, suspect they fail.

I suspect this becomes the norm over time.

Of course they'll fail, it's basically just the same as an employer saying that you need a clean driving licence or are qualified to operate X type of machinery, if you don't have a clean licence or can't operate that machinery you won't get the job and if you somehow managed to bluff it, when they find out you lied, it's breach of contract and you're out the door.

My 5 year old nephew's entire nursery closed down today as one of the kids in another room tested positive yesterday.

My old man made my sister do a lateral flow on the wee guy before he'd agree to babysit.

Tough love.

Unlike the rest of my family been notified by text, letter and website.

I got my blue letter today . Had appointment for Saturday 19th June . It wasn’t sitting right with me as I felt “ I’ve something on” ?   Then I remember Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 v England the night before so I’ll be in no fit state to do anything that day !! Priorities  .   It was easy to re schedule online . It’s at the Gyle . I tried to change it to EICC but there were zero appointments there

First time I've seen 820,000 deaths as the prediction in February 2020.

According to Hancock they waited till the science confirmed this to be credible in the week beginning 9 March.

This is basically the Government's defence today.

Still remains questions about lockdown timing.

A weakness is saying they did their best on care homes but not testing staff till July.
