Corners

One of many positives today was our corners. Couple of goals from them but more importantly either playing it short and working the angle or actually putting a decent delivery in.

Something I've not seen in bloody years. Well coached and worked on.

Once again, credit to Stendel and to the players for executing them well.

I liked the quick throw ins and free kick too 👍

Those long throws where we take 2 mins to set it up and for our CBs to trudge up the field used to do my nut in. We never scored from them.

Those long throws were horrific.

Now and again, they can be a decent weapon but we did one every single time (making us completely predictable to the opposition) and like you say, never scored from a single one.

Hopefully the long throw has been ditched

We've been painful at throw ins for ages, unable to maintain possession. Any focus on this is most welcome.

Corners have been aimless, hopeful, unrehearsed pish so it sounds promising.

This coaching idea might be a good un.

one thing i noticed was in the 87th min we got a throw in right in front of the dugouts, we were 4 - 0 up at the time and Stendel still ran to grab the ball and threw it to a hearts player while yelling to take it quickly, love that intensity

He was going mental the full 90, it was great to see.

Our corners we looked much better. We look vulnerable at defending corners. They won too many headers.
