Not really been a big fan of any of the other ones so far but seriously tempted by this. Probably my favourite shirt ever.

Don't care what it's associated with, still my favourite away top.

I'm sure @Morgan would agree, think it's his favourite too.

Yeah. Attention to detail has been very poor on these.

The original clearly has the stripes closer together and the edges of the spnsor touch the stripes. They're too far apart in the reissue.

Was absolutely buzzing when they announced these tops and I wasnt expecting perfection but they've all had disappointing little faults.

I ordered the 73/74 one because it looked fantastic but now that I've got it I'm not so impressed and I think it might be going back 😔

Could it be that they have deliberately incorporated these "inaccuracies" into these strips, maybe there would be an issue if they were identical to the original which they can then get round with a different coloured button or a different thickness pinstripe etc.. Just a thought.

Perhaps. I did think that might be a factor but can't help but feel that the differences could have been more subtle. Feels like we've missed a massive opportunity with the hype around retro strips just now and could have done this so much better. Even finding the things on the website without the direct link was difficult.

If was the guy driving that project I'd have had a standalone section on the website, I'd have marketed it, if have players re-creating old photos in the strips and I'd have worked closely with the suppliers to make sure the strips were as close as physically and legally possible to the originals.  But maybe that's just me. I like to do my job well 🤣

Any chance of kit 4 being available in the clubstore this week? Was hoping to get one before the semi final - didn't want to pre-order due to previous sizing issues with the retro kits.

You can vote on the next shirt. I voted 1 as it was my first ever Hearts shirt. I just hope they don't make a complete arse of it.

 The mid 1990s Asics shirt.

The top is considerably better than the two keepers that wore it most (Messrs Nelson and Walker).

The 87/88 would get my vote. However, based on recent efforts, I doubt this will be better than the repro by Topps a few years ago.

And Henry :)

I also didn't mind Walker to be honest. He was ok at Hearts and in fact earned a Scotland cap at Hearts at that time. The team in front of him never done him many favours.

Henry didn't sport this jersey nearly as often as he should've.

I wasn't a fan of Nicky Walker - as a teenager I was brought up watching big H, so the man taking his place was possibly on a hiding to nothing! But even then, I just always felt Walker was a bit more erratic.

Anyway, I digress - this shirt is a classic and I'll be in there to order.

As long as Hearts and Umbro have agreed to produce Cup Final tops that'll do me.

Seemingly all the adult sizes have sold out 👎

Just received mine in the post this morning and it is an absolute belter! The 70s ALEXANDER one was pretty cool but this has completely topped it.

Got mine today too. Lovely shirt. First one of the remakes I've got and you can definitely notice the difference. Feels like a modern shirt as opposed to the thick 90's material but not necessarily a bad thing.

Glad you are happy, I believe Hearts have tried their hardest on the retro kits and they are always going to be up for criticism as they are never going to be the same as the originals.

Modern goalkeeper shirts really need to copy the fantastic colourful ones from the 90s IMO.

This years away orange keeper kit is pretty cool.

Im not seeing the problem here. If someone wants to try and punt a wrecked old shirt then so what?

Likewise if someones wanting to spend their own money on it then thats up to them.

Seen a number of sites now that do retro kits, I must say I've been very impressed and they've certainly put Hearts and Umbro to shame with their recent efforts. Modern technology should be able to replicate a vintage top with no obvious flaws.

For instance 👍

There's a guy on Facebook who could sort that out no problem. He prints replacement badges and sponsors onto old shirts like that.

Iron marks are unfortunate though. That's what happens when you don't get your mum to iron your stuff.

Couple of examples of the guys work.

I did it to an old 70s Coventry tap, my maw bought me for some reason, when I was wee. Now you'd get a couple of bob and the brown away one is or was worth a fortune.

That's actually a decent effort. Toffs were doing that one for years though. 86/87 would have been better but at least it looks like they have sorted the colour out.

As I am sure most know, the Hearts direct store is releasing a new classic shirt every month for 12 months and until now lol I have not really wanted any of them. But I am very interested in ordering this one. For those who have ordered any of the others, are they quality made? And who actually makes them as their is no brand on them? Just curious, cheers. And I know it says this one will be end of August before it is ready, is that for the previous ones also and shipped at same time? Cheers.

I've bought one, 95 away top. Badge is stuck on with glue, peeled off on the first wash. A mates mum stiched it back on. Won't buy an other.
