I’m now wondering how many from the 12 I’ll purchase. Or how many I already have.
I don’t have month 1 but will do for Christmas.

Peter Oliver was the only one I didn’t get without checking. Loved that shirt.

Love this idea. Love this shirt. I just wish we were allowed to have the Asics logo as it really does take something away from it.

I wonder what the 12 will be. Will be an interesting year if they're doing one every month :)

The Asics logo on the originals was just a sew on woven patch. Just buy any old Asics shirt or shorts from the same era, cut it off and sew it on the Hearts one.

Even all the training gear had those patches on them.

Sure anyone could pick one up for pennies on Ebay.

The shirt I ordered that I ended up getting refunded was the yellow Mo Johnston/Dens Park top....my first one I think was the Mita silver one, but that was ok, and I quickly tucked that away in amongst all my other Hearts bumf I have bought over the years, collecting dust....

I was peeved with the guys attitude more than the quality or otherwise of the product...they aint perfect so just be aware is all....

The guy from Dunnotar is clueless, the first yellow Asics ones he done had the wrong pattern on them he put the same as the home kit. He changed it when he saw a real one. His products are still tragic with loads of mistakes. They are poor quality and lack any real attention to detail.

Odd why people still call it the Mo Johnston shirt, probably because for ages the only decent photo was the newspaper clipping with Johnston scoring.

Oh and here is Mo Johnson's real shirt -

I am absolutely buzzing that they are going bring out twelve classic shirts. I always remember my first ever strip was the ASICS candy stripe  away shirt.

Great strip I am pretty sure both the candy stripe strips were well received.

Anybody know where I can purchase the white umbro away top from the late 70s? Had a look at Dunnotar but the reviews are awful.

If you don't learn from others experiences re Dunnotar, even on this thread alone, more fool you!!

I have learned. I read their reviews before buying which were awful and now I won't be purchasing anything from them.👍

Classic white away kit, rarely used in its latter season but still as popular as the home kit. Also a few classic goalkeeper tops that were unusual in their colour scheme... Blue, green, yellow.

Some images are poor due to TV captures.

That's the Salvesen Boys Club kit with Ian Westwater wearing the green Umbro Hearts goalkeeper top.

Only worn once in a league match, how he got it I don't know but it was a myth there was a green top until this image became available and Ray Dunlop wore one against East Fife in a league match.

Luckily he didn't mention Brian Wilson.

Although I've promoted Wilson to the 2nd worse goalkeeper I've seen play Hearts thanks to Poppadom hands.

Against that lot in the agonising 3-4 defeat.

Loved that shirt. They had sorted out the bobbling issue from the season before as well so it was much better quality.

That photo of Cruickie in his all black strip was taken at Molineux in Wolverhampton on the occasion of the 2nd leg of the Texaco Cup Final. 1971 I think.

we lost the 1st leg at Tyne 3-1 but won at Molineux 1-0 but lost 3-2 over the two legs.

i was there that night and Hearts played very well and Jim was brilliant. I remember one save he made from a Derek Dougan Header. And of course Cruickie held it.

As I recall it was worn as a tribute to the great Russian goalie Lev Yashin who was first to wear it.

I seem to remember that the SFA told him to stop wearing it as it clashed with the referee’s jerseys.

Got carried away and pre-ordered all 12. A reproduction classic Hearts top in the post each month was too enticing after a few glasses.

If I don't like any of them my son is about my size.😬:whistling:

It’d have been good if the club could have come to an agreement with the kit manufacturers to use their logos/badges

The white away one they only have in XL so I'm hoping they are big made. I'll let you know the quality and size as soon as it arrives, but they say you can wait up to one month for delivery as the tops come from Thailand.

Seen these online

They've got that wrong - Levein avoided wearing the 5. Some kind of superstition I think.

Good idea though.  Perhaps better without the sponsor on the front.

I know it doesn't matter in the GSoT, but makes the club/shop look unprofessional :(

Think this company have had many guises. If it's the same best go a size up

They look much better than the limited edition Umbro effort that was offered to us a few years ago although the 85/86 Mita logo is a tad on the large side but again much better than what's on offer in the club shop.

For anyone interested, I've been in contact with dpretro.com regarding the possibility of them making the 92/93 shirt available for purchase. I'll update when I get an answer.

Why would anyone buy one of the grey Mita tops?

It will forever be associated with 7 of the worst days in our history. I'm still convinced if we'd worn maroon we would be talking about a double that season.

Exactly!

I always remember the sleeves being really long on that strip.

Slightly off topic, for some strange reason I remember wearing this to a primary school one year. PHM!
