Boof Posted December 10, 2019 Share Posted December 10, 2019 Firstly the sad news - Santa-in-Chief, Ulysses, is unavailable to run the game this year. I've been in touch with him, however, and have received enough encouragement from both him and the Admin team to have a go at running it for myself. It will NOT be to the same standard as Uly's game, but I'll try to retain as many of the game-play features as I can so there will be the chance to guess your Santa, there will be opportunities to guess other Santas and there will be prizes for the outright winner (the player who remains undetected the longest) and a prize for one of the Santa-outers (in the form of a draw, the number of draw entries dependent upon the number of Santas outed)...if I can keep track of everything! I'm not even sure if there'll be a video - still to work out how to do it! No doubt there will be honour, charity, decency, kindness and respect. There may also be tears, snotters, shaking with rage and offers of square goes behind the Wheatfield as well. And that's just from me! How does it work? It's free, and open to subscribed members. There are two prizes - a main and a consolation prize. Not a huge amount of effort is needed to enter and play the game for the main prize. The consolation prize is a bit harder - you can be entered for the consolation prize easily, but you can get more shots at winning by putting in some guessing effort during the game. Once we have a finalised list of participants (subscribed members only), I will send you a player for whom you need to 'buy' a present. Buying equates to picking something you want from a google image search and sending the link/image to me. I thought for a second that something had happened to Ulysses. Well done on taking this on Boof, I’m sure you will do a great job and hopefully Ulysses will be back next year. I’m absolutely garbage at this, so don’t think I should enter, but then again so are most of the folk on here. That seems a reasonable upper limit, though if anyone wishes to gift the Palace of Versailles, for instance, go right ahead.
