Naismith Injury

Apologies if posted elsewhere but McPhee mentions in his post match that Naismith has a grade one injury to the opposite hamstring that he injured before and is likely to be out for a couple of weeks.

Basically the lowest severity, more a slight strain than a tear. Essentially tightness

Obviously much worse than a grade 2 No?

Was this a result of jobby fingers challenge

Hope so, otherwise slightly worrying he’s getting injuries almost by the game.

I think more likely to be overstretching though

He'll be okay come Tuesday when Stendel arrives

It was borderline red.

I know every support feels hard done by from refs.

But I do think we are.

Jobby fingers told to stop Naismith no doubt.

Whelan should have nailed jobby fingers within minutes of that.

One of our many issues to be addressed from the new coaches.

To be fair to Whelan he got away with nailing their blond no 9 or 10 I think.

The injury occurred when he controlled a long punt from Bobby - he winced immediately.

Hopefully a wake up call for the whole squad.

If it is then I had a grade 1 last night.

Is there an age that you stop grade 1's?  I'm in my late 50's and prone to pulling.

Happened after the Bartley challenge. A high ball in front of the wheatfield he tried to control.

Was a bit like Washingtons

Forgot about Washington, seems to have been out for ages .

Just look up when scotland next fixture. That will tell you when he is back fit.

It's the 26th March, I'll wait and see but my gut feeling is you're making shite up thinking it's funny.

Last time he had a tight hamstring he was out for about the same length of time as Berra was when he tore it completely off the bone.

Toxteth O'Grady

Hope Stendel sorts out all these hamstring    problems - I’m not convinced our players prepare and stretch properly

Fingers crossed he’ll be back for the Celtic game in some capacity then. Failing that, just make sure he’s back for his first derby in a year!

I hope Stendel is good at giving us injury updates.  This one on Naismith is good but Souttar and Washington could be deid for all I know and Garruchio must be.

Actually, I think that’s what’s called a ‘number three’.

Rather than start a new thread does anyone know how the rest of our injured players are progressing? Namely Souttar, Haring , Washington and Garrucio

Do you really think he will come back during December? Suspect there will be a "series of niggles" and we won't see him till after the break. Hope to be proved wrong as we desperately need senior players to stand up and be counted right now.
