Sad news, I enjoyed listening to his views and am old enough to have watched him play too, I used to watch the cricket with my dad.

Disappointed Sky saw fit to drop his peers, Messrs Gower and Botham, not everyone’s cup of tea I know, but I liked their delivery too (if you’ll pardon the pun).

RIP.

RIP RGD Willis, the "D" was for Dylan as he had changed his name to include it in tribute to Bob Dylan

Can just remember the tail end if his test career and enjoyed his punditry .

Cricket seems to produce honest pundits who are not afraid to say what they think ,he was one if them .

Rip

Absolutely. I can still visualize the long run up. BBC coverage at that time was brilliant .Know we have got to move with the times but sometimes I think there was such a time as the good old days.

Never fully got the credit he deserved for that Headingley test. RIP Bob Willis.

Sad news

Great bowler and honest critic/commentator

Remember watching him for the first time in the 1971 Ashes series

Played for years ignoring the pain from his bad knees

He played in the days of BBC Test coverage  which was by far the best

I agree

Botham's 149 not out rescued a desperate situation when he was just swiping at everything but Willis took them apart.
