Just the right amount of blood and violence to make it a Tarantino. A well told story, too. Relatable characters helped.

I don't agree with the things you are saying here.

Please don't hate me.

This is the first time Quentin Tarantino has dealt with a real situation.

True enough. Was the ending not a cop out, though?

The fake Hollywood ending?

The fake anti-hero real-hero anti-real Hollywood ending?

The fake non-hero non-ending?

Did you want Hollywood to be real and show reality

:)

I thought he just didn’t want to put Tate through it all.

As with all Tarantino films, if you suspend your morals and taste for a couple of hours, it’s a jolly good romp.

Tarantino involved Sharon Tate's family. They were part of it.

There are loads and loads of people discussing it on YouTube. Some really good reviews and interviews.

I saw it in the Cinema when it came out. Thought it was shit. I'm a huge fan of a fair few of Tarantino's movies but this was total rubbish.

Mid watching it as I type, I don’t know enough about the story to ‘get it’ I feel.

Surely no more real than Inglorious Basterds? A fictional story based around true events?

Just noticed it on kodi last night.
Gonna watch this week sometime.
Mixed messages here.
Tend to enjoy Tarantino movies personally so optimistic it’ll be decent.

It sticks in my mind.

I did not want to watch this film at all. I ended up seeing it.

As the most recent Quentin Tarantino film it is fascinating.

I found it genuinely thought-provoking- it fused reality and Hollywood reality,  then it fused that with our reality.

It never tried to make a simplistic point of doing that, it did all that in the suspension of disbelief. (and the suspension of disbelief, and the suspension of disbelief and on and on)

Like this film isn't really here. But it is.

Its fascinating.

Yes.

maybe I'm meaning a more recent, more specific real situation.

like the actual people in this film, were numerous.
