That'd do me, but for Benny From Crossroads. Copil? A tree? Elliott even.

Scarily, there is not really a team that I think we could send up there that I'd have any confidence in them getting a result.

I'd probably plump for:

Banks

Neilson

Karipidis

Berra

Wallace

Visconte

Palazuelos

Jonsson

Stewart

Velicka

Nade

Really poor side, but we're short on wingers and that is the best I could come up with.

I fear no matter what team we put out, our tactics will let us down.

Sad that, as I normally fancy a hearts team to win. I hope to god In wrong though.

Oh sod it, I'll give it a bash.

Banks

Neilson Karipidis Berra Wallace

Jonnson Husband Palazuelos Visconte

Nade Velicka.

Would have Templeton in for Husband and swap Temps with Jonnson if he was back.

Dont get me started on him :dribble:

Left midfielder, u-19's Australian lad who I thinks superb. Fair enough not done too much this season but I reckon its because he needs the step up.

I fear for Eggert in that formation.

We know that the best part of Aberdeen's game is in midfield. How many of those players are away? Smith, Clark, Seve, Nicholson - any of them? We need to match their workrate in midfield.

Banks

Neilson-Karipidis-Berra-Goncalves

Driver-Jonsson-Stewart-Palazuelos

Nade-Velicka

I don't like that front pairing - and both would have to be replaced after an hour due to lack of fitness. But Nade was a bit better for 10 minutes on Tuesday and Velicka gets in due to his recent run of goals. But there isn't really anyone else.

Good chance that will be the team, maybe Stewart in place of Eggert or Nade (playin 4-5-1).

How UNDERWHELMING is that team!!

Interesting to see if we will put any youngsters on the bench on saturday (apart from the usual Bjarnsson and McGowan).

If Tall, Driver and Cesnauskis are out then I reckon it will be:

Banks

Neilson Karipidis Berra Goncalves

Miko Stewart Jonsson Ruben Ksanavicius

Velicka

Subs: Bjornsson, McGowan, Wallace, Ivaskevicius, Nade, Beniusis, Zaliukas

Can see Frail sticking with 4-5-1 for this tbh.

First sensible post of the thread.

Theres no way Frail is going to play a 442 up there and for those who want copil, kostadinov, visconte and just about half the youth team to start they need to stop living in football manager 08 world

aberdeen's football is as interesting as watching fake tan dry

if he doesn't play 4-4-2 it's gonna be a pretty boring game, and 4-4-2 certainly worked against motherwell alot better than 4-5-1

if he wants to play 4-4-2 and have the subs on the bench then either makela or a youth will need to be on the bench

If we continue to play with 3 defensive midfielders we will struggle to score goals.

Perhaps the first to stop living in Football Manager 08 should be Romanov. - then we might start to get somewhere!!

subs:anyone but kurskis, mgowan, wallace visconte, nade, kostadinov, either miko or shammy if chesney is not fit

I think that would work well, suprise them a bit with driver on the other wing if he doesn't make it then go with chesney and if he is not fit it will have to be miko. Our midfield 3 are all good passers of the ball. If jonsson and palazelous sit a bit and allow stewart to drive forward.

The style I would go for is more counter attacking- I think we look more dangerous when we do that instead of the patient, pretty passing that has got us nowhere all season. we would have 4 players driving forward and 6 behind the ball if the move breaks down. It puts a bit of pressure on palazelous and jonsson but i think they have the workrate for it.

Anyone agree
