Alan_R
Wife was in shower, water was dripping down through kitchen ceiling. I turned water off at mains. Dried it up. And turned water back on At msins. It had stopped leaking. I had the shower on away from sides of cubicle, no drips so I was beggining to think just sealant but I've got someone coming to have a look after work tomorrow. Fast forward to 3am now. And there's a vibrating coming from behind the wall. Well away from shower bathroom but I guess there is probably still pipes there. It may or may not be related? I've turned mains off. Noise persists. Drained all water out and mains back on, it's still going. Turned boiler off and checked all appliances. The vibrating noise is still there. Wall between me and neighbour. (Semi detached house) I'm hoping it's unrelated and maybe even something on his side but any advice? No leaks currently. Any help or advice!? Alan_R
Turned boiler off at wall and also turned mains electric off. Noise is still going! What could cause it if water and electric off, if pressure in pipes I'd expect it to stop? It's like a load humming/vibrating noise
Jambo_Gaz
Hopefully you've phoned a plumber?
3fingersreid
I’m no plumber but it sounds like water hammer although that’s more when water is running . As Gaz has said I hope the plumber is on his way if not already there .
hmfc_liam06
Sounds like your next door neighbour has a secret cubby hole to store her vibrators.
Jambojay84
I’m no plumber but could it be a section of the pipe that’s a bit loose and needing re fastened. If the sealant fixed your leak it might be an issue with your neighbours pipes
AlimOzturk
Sounds like a burst pipe to me.
Alan_R
I think it was on neighbours side. I turned water off cleared drains etc. Don't think it was a water hammer as that would've cleared it. It defo wasn't a banging noise of any kind. More of a load humming. May have been bit air that eventually cleared but the noise has now stopped. No apparent leaks Hopefully just the sealant on shower and a bad coincidence my neighbour had a noisy pump same night. Someone coming tonight .
