He is 70 years old now, he isn't going to take Cardiff back to the top division, he has a place through in the Clyde Valley somewhere and I suspect he and his Mrs will be more content to move up there now and begin to enjoy retired life. Someone similar to him but 10-20 years younger would fit the bill, someone who at their Tynecastle interview answers the question "What do you think of the OF" with the words "Feck them" will do just perfectly. Even if Warnock was taking the job, it'd be on a relatively short term basis. Get him in now, get the results in order, and then perhaps bring someone else in for pre-season.
