Aye but Hearts play other teams.

Larsson...

How about Lawrence Shankland?

Should have waited until he scored tonight.

Surprised no Gazza in here yet.

He’s been mentioned a few times, including by myself.

Not sure about a full 11 but Christian Poulsen and Antinlop both played in the Schalke side we played in the uefa cup. That Spurs team had Van der Vaart Bale, Defoe, Walker it in. The rest would probably be made up of Hearts players for me. Niemi or Gordon, Skacel, Fysass etc.

From the SPL and that era, b Ferguson was always a cut above imo.

Splits opinion but a midfielder that actually controlled football games, Scotland haven't had many of them.

Yes I liked Ferguson, abit like Thompson he had a strong presense about him, he was a very proud player that gave his all

Brazil 1970 in my lifetime

Absolutely.  Early days of colour tv.  That side was nothing short of fantastic and I regard it as an absolute privilege to have seen them several times on TV.  It was thrilling.

What made it even better was the tactic of several sides in 1966 to kick Pele in particular off the park.  No football allowed.

Revenge was sweet.

I agree although I think Beckenbaur might have had the edge over Berry.

A couple of positions I'm struggling with. I can never remember players who were playing against the famous.

Niemi

Neilson(struggling for RB), gough, sandy jardine, Takis.

Laudrup(LW),  Gazza, Moravcic(sp), Raheem sterling (RW)

Suarez, Larsson.

I don't believe you when you say Carragher is one of the best you've seen.

From some of the names you've listed, I imagine you were at the Barca game and would have seen Abidal and Zambrotta.

I don't know what age you are but thought you'd have seen Gough at Tynecastle.

Also, guys like Larsson and Laudrup featured heavily against us and would easily go ahead of Mane, Salah, Aubameyang and Reus.

Other guys that featured at Tynie making seeing them a higher probability are Bale, Van Der Vaart and Keane.

Wanted to stick with the back 3. Can't remember Abidal playing against us? Just Thuram. Too young for Gough, Laudrup, Gazza etc.

I wasn't at the Spurs game either sadly.

I’m replying to him and I’ve not been abusive. I’m really surprised that’s who makes the LB position.

Calm down m8. I doubt he needs you to help him make his case. Angry chap.

That's the player that broke through. It was brilliant watching him, I hope he goes back to that at Arsenal and isn't the diving and cheating player he became at Parkhead.

From the era you've mentioned, no Laudrup?

Never saw Laudrup playing (starting going to games regularly in the 99/00 season)

By the way Dzeko played v us, however that wouldn't be right in my opinion throwing him into an XI he was only a sub

Yeah, Abidal featured in the game. If you attended games 20 years ago, you could even put Sauzee as a sweeper ahead of Carragher.

My first derby was 2002, think Sauzee was done by then.

RM - Salah

CM - Ronaldiniho

Im struggling to be honest. I really don't want to use the barca players that came to murrayfield as that would just fill my whole 11.
