Rights, baws to the negativity. I'm on 3 nil to Hearts, & a performance inspired by the returns of both Walker & Naismith.

Last time we scored 3 in the league was...a while ago. But I think there'll be a point to prove after the SF capitulation.

Uche, Meshino, Walker & Naismith. How can you not get goals with that?!

At home, against a pish team, absolute pumping required urgently to kickstart a league climb!  I want to see us create and score goals, not sit and try to play tippy tappy across the park then get hit on the break as usual!

Debut 4

My concern is the likes of Walker takes 2,3 matches to really get up to speed and properly affect a game.

Even Naisy can be like that but he’ll bring his authority and influence to the pitch in other ways.

I don’t think we’ll see an amazing transformation in the team but enough to edge it.

I’m pretty sure Haring is fit is he not?

if so:

                     El Gato

brandon.  Berra. Smith.  Hickey

                Wheelo.  Haring

 Walker.      Naismith.  Mashino

                    Uche

of course MacPhee will find some way of getting the imposters in so get ready to see Bozanic Clare and Wighton in for the rest of his tenure.

get him and all the coaching staff emptied ASAP

You would think so but we started the Ross County game with Uche, Washington, Walker and Naismith

Hard to judge as we don't know who'll be fit enough, never mind predict MacPhee's starting XI.

Seems an age since I last saw Hearts (home games only these days but I missed the Rangers 1-1), so looking forward to it.

Would be nice to see an upturn in performance etc. but a scrappy win would do all things considered.

Hearts 2-1.

Optimistically (stupidly?) predicting a home win. Any win will do at this stage.

On paper that’s close to our strongest side, Souttar and Haring obviously come in and I’d prefer Washington to Uche but playing a high press and getting Walker/Meshino/Naismith in the game, suits Uche’s game better. Pretty confident about Saturday.

A "6 pointer" of a game that Hearts must win.

I remember season 1980-1981 when Hearts finished 10th in the SPL, even when they were adrift with Killie at the bottom of the league there was always hope that they would start winning games and avoid the drop.  They never did.  I have a similar feeling that things will not improve.

The problem with playing Walker, Naismith and Meshino behind Uche is that they all want to be no.10s and there is a lack of width in the team.

I'd like to see us try something a bit different.

St Mirren are a well organised team and haven't been getting pumped by 4 or 5 goals. I'm going to say 1-0 to us.

Here's where we have an influence and lets hope the moaners and groaners will get behind us now that their main target has left the managerial role

This weekend calls on us to support the team even if it is a struggle

'Jim Goodwin insists that St Mirren may be able to gain a Tynecastle advantage by playing off the disappointment surrounding Hearts just now.

The dismissal of Craig Levein as first-team boss was compounded by a 3-0 defeat to Rangers in the League Cup semi-final. It rounded off a pretty miserable week in Gorgie.

Without a home win since March, tensions are high at Tynecastle. Goodwin believes that could work to St Mirren’s adavantge.

He told the Paisley Daily Express (backpage, 07/11/19): “We always speak about the first 15 to 20 minutes away from home being vital. If you can get a good start in a game like that, the fans do turn on the players and then it’s about whether the players can handle the pressure.

“That’s always the case regardless, but maybe even more so with the predicament Hearts are in. The fans are demanding and they have their wish now with Craig Levein no longer the manager. It’s all well and good getting rid of the manager, but the players need to take some responsibility.

“They’ll be expecting a big performance. Hearts fans demand that anyway and we’re ready for that. If we go there and play the way we can — and get them on the players’ backs — we’ll use that to our advantage.”'

We must be one of the few grounds where the home fans become the 12th man for the away team

Will happily take any sort of victory, whether it be scrappy as feck, or an outstanding masterclass in free flowing silkyness. Bottom line is we need the 3 points to lift the gloom going into the international break.

Smith's right boot

Depends on the team.

No Smith or Whelan would be a dull one.

Walker should be good to go, hopefully Naismith can play the full 90 uncathed.

I think we'll win, but it won't be easy.

2-1 us after going 2-0 up.

Players back, more match fit, set us up nicely for after the international break.

I'm not there, bet I miss our first win in **** knows how long.

Well it’s about bloody time the players gave us a performance to cheer. The start of the match against Rangers at home was very good. Get on the front foot and create chances early and the crowd will be up for it on Saturday. We can win definitely but if we lose the first goal we won’t. We don’t have the character to come back!!

Simply have to win given the two away fixtures after the break.

Can't say I'm looking forward to it though.
