Yeah.  Edinburgh’s s**t.  All the tourists can GTF.  I want to go back to the good old days when everything shut at 10pm and ****all was open on Sundays.

Up the Tron at Hogmanay with **** all to do but watch a fight.

Lets go back to when Edinburgh was a dour wee provincial backwater.

Oh, and **** the Festival too.

(Am I doing this right?)

Got a scaffolding card myself but not for that type of structure. Wouldn’t get away with the vertical leg like that on a building site but the argument will probably be the angled pole holding it in position while anchored at the bottom.

Scaffolding leg/foot should be on a flat surface. (As taught for site practices)

Kinda what I was thinking.

Just doesn't look safe to me.

Reality is the city needs to generate income and this near year round festivities are required.

The challenge is how wisely the  councillors spend it....

Now why has that tourist tax not been implemented yet....

Not a scaffolder but my thoughts when I saw these pictures.

Condemned on site if set up like that.

Temporary works would insist on what you said.

Dodgy imo.

Need to keep it authentic right enough. Has to be drunk straight from the nicely warmed bottle though!

Warmed down the front of a pair of trackies, while sneaking out of a shop.

Am I correct in thinking the clowncil are have another of their pathetic "consultation periods" about the Christmas Market/s?

Yes

Standard planning application where you can say something about it.

And then they are going to do a review which I think they are going to consult on.

So as per usual the public will be ignored and they'll do what ever their single digit IQs desire. Fabulous.

Bump.
Good news. It’s only going to be another 14 weeks (weather depending) until the gardens are back to “normal.”

And three weeks after that they dig it all up again in preparation for the Festival.

Not sure if it’s relevant to the Xmas Markets but the the council destroyed numerous memorial benches.

Well done you roasters.
