mitch41
Now that the deadline for applicants will be closed for the job of Manager I wonder if there might be a leaked list of who has applied. I take it the deadline was 6pm and not Midnight. Yes I know that current applicants who are employed elsewhere wouldn’t want their present employers find out that they had applied. If you did, I dont understand why you'd want him back. Apart from the championship season, it was boring to watch. 1. it was effective - style is nice to have but as a main objective is very Hibs - results first please. 2. We didn’t have the funds we have now so he was not able to get the quality of player we now have 3. His win rate was phenomenal for a new young manager 4. We have gone downhill ever since he left Anyway my point was qualified - if we are taking a narrow view of being restricted to Scottish managers tell me who is better than Neilson for us? Extremely amateurish if that happens. Extremely unlikely to happen as Mrs Budge is no amateur when it comes to business. You will just have to hang on in suspense for another week Mitch. What, if O'Neill doesn't rate him, he is going to force him to go and work at Sunderland as a punishment? Whether he takes him to Stoke probably depends on various things. Does MacPhee genuinely believe he is in line for the Hearts job at some stage? Does O'Neill want an assistant that knows the English league? How would moving to Stoke impact on MacPhee's business venutres? Who else do Stoke have in their coaching structure that they might want to keep on? Does O'Neill rate McaPhee but still think he has someone better suited to the role he needs at Stoke. It may not be as similar as, if he doesn't take him to Stoke he doesn't rate him.
