Celtic went on Easter road and dropped points so you never know.  We might get a low scoring draw out of this.  Be good to wipe the smile of their faces and to let them know what they're getting in the semi. Need to get right in about them though.  Whelan could be the man for us, that and Berra having a solid game as well.

I'd bite your hand off for that.

I'd let him bite my cock off for three points tomorrow and a win in the semi.

If he did there'd be no chance of a semi.

If we beat them tomorrow, can we do it again on Sunday?

I was only joking.  There's a previous post where I think if whelan and Berra have solid games, you never know. We need to get in about them and let them know what they're getting in the semi as well.

3 or 4 nil to them.

Better players and a manager who clearly sets his players out with a game plan

What are these strange words you speak of?

Captain Canada

Is it the norm these days at all clubs just to put players returning from injury straight back into the first team?

I'm particularly concerned about Haring having been out for so long and thrown back into a very difficult game.

Hard to see any kind of result for us, we may be scoring more goals this season but our defense is absolutely porous. If we play Mulraney at LWB again the game's a goner. A flat back 4 is required.

Still going for 2-1 for the Jambos based on pure hope.

                    Pereira

Smith Dikamona Berra Hickey

             Haring Whelan

                  Damour

        Meshi  Uche  Mulraney

Mulraney should be dropped. Been shocking for weeks.

Love a battling 1-0 home win vs the OF. It does happen.

Now and then yeah. Here’s hoping.

I will go with 2:1 win for Heart of Midlothian; penalty for Hearts (Walker) & penalty for Blue Shirts.

But, if Walker is not available it will be a solid draw, 1:1.

First 20-30 minutes without a goal against - is a key factor. Flanks, open zones, corners, wide plays, last-minute goals - hope they know, be prepared.

Thing is, with Hearts being Hearts and with the way things have been going, it is possible.

It’s possible of course but it won’t happen.

We will be beat by half time.

Wonder if we might just go a 4-4-2 tomorrow, especially if Haring's not fit to start. Meshino and Mulraney wide midfielders with Whelan and Irving/Clare in the middle. Uche and MacLean up front. We also have the players to play a 4-4-2 diamond with Meshino or Clare at the top tip and Whelan at the back, Clare/Meshino and Mulraney either side. Could be risky though!

Be good if we don't give tavernier all the time in the world to get crosses in, like the last few times we have played them.

Be good if we didn't gift them a goal with awful defending.

Be good if we show up at all

2 strikers plus morrison and ryo. Far too attacking for mr levein.

Decent shape, one winger and one playing wide who tucks in which seemed to work for us (at times) last season. Just want someone who can play up with Uche (or even McLean) as one up and no support won’t work unless we are solid at the back and good at set pieces...

Really like Smith in the middle so it seemed best to throw Hickey to right back.

Another option is to play White at left mid and Hickey behind.

Can't be arsed going through the thread so not sure if this has been brought up but I see the club put this photo out a few hours ago. A very handsome defensive midfielder is in full training by the looks of things.

Excellent photo. I like how they managed to get big Uche's tree-trunk pins to hide MacLean's walking stick.

CL interview on line today where he gives up date about injuries. Hearts twitter will give you it.

Uche and Haring are the two that should be good for Sunday. With lots of noncommittal comments around Naisy, which seemed to be he’s kind of fit but not sure if we want to risk him. Was unsure if  ‘mind games’ or just more not sure they know quite what the cause is and is he fit. Albeit that’s my interpretation.

Mulraney at lwb is a waste of his attacking talent. Quite scared about this one.

Yeah totally agree also think if we go 3 at the back we will get destroyed

to play 3 at the back we need these guys to bring the ball out and only Soutter and Halkett do that plus we need good wing backs and I don’t think we have that

has to be a back 4 I reckon

Naismith won’t start I don’t think but think haring will

Naismith out because he doesn't want to take any risks.

Glad to see Haring back but he has played even less football than S N.

Might be a bit of a risk if he starts tomorrow with no match fitness at all.

Maybe he will only get an hour or so.

Fingers crossed for the big guy.

Damour out as well with his hamstring issue. 😏

I wonder if that picture in training indicates White is starting? The starting lineup doing a drill?

Looks like the drill is White to Haring while Uche makes a run, Haring to Berra, then a hoof by Berra long to Uche  :whistling:

Levein thinks he is the master of mind games. Personally would prefer him to keep quiet and do the talking on the pitch.

I think with Haring being off the pace he will miss-time a tackle and the current bun  in black will have his red card out before the rangers player is on to his 2nd roll in mortal agony.

There's always a chance in football, after an international break when players can be off the pace in general, a berra hoof deflected in off Uches arse as he tries an acrobatic volley is always possible.

Injured players rarely get used in reserve games to gain fitness these days which surprises me. I’d have thought that would be the route to go down with guys that have been out a long time.
