been here before
For the pedants the 'real' cup is presented to the winning team. Once the lap of honour is completed* its swapped for a replica. The replica is what is used in the bus parades etc and what sits in the trophy cabinet of the winning team for a year. Its also what people get their pictures taken with when winning clubs offer that opportunity. * with the exception of 2016 when thanks to simple "over exuberance" no lap of honour could be completed safely. Was 98 not the last time the real one was allowed out? i think JJ’s coal bunker story gave them the fear after that.
Worthing Jambo
The significance being for all of us who had a photo with the “real” cup in 98, that any subsequent photos were with a copy. NLTF.
davemclaren
Bonnyrigg Rose to win it this year. I drunk juice out of the junior cup on the turf at New Dundas Park in 66 so would be good to do it out of the big cup. 😂
Lord Beni of Gorgie
The SFA would never pay for a replica
