Meanwhile, Scotland booted out of the rugby world cup by a 2nd tier nation.  Seriously  have things ever been worse.

Hearts, Scotland and scottish rugby desperately need coaches who know that they're doing.

Everything miserable at present.

Tier two is a dated thing to say of Japan. They’re above us in the rankings!

However, doesn’t detract from everything being miserable as you say. So disheartening on all three fronts just now

So could have played it at McDermid Park.

Could have played it at Saughton Enclosure

Shankland will score at least 2. Going for 6-0 and comments along the lines of 'a good base to build on, we'll be stronger for the next campaign'.

San Marino have played seven games in this qualifying campaign.  Scored 0 and conceded 37.  Every single match was 0-4 or worse except against Scotland.  Even Cyprus beat them 4-0 and 5-0.

We should be scoring at least 4 or 5 today.  I reckon it's more likely to be 2 or 3.

Ticket sales roughly 10k with extra tickets offered to local schools. Does anyone know how much it cost for the Scotland season ticket? Can’t find the prices anywhere

From memory I think they started from £154 which is £22 per ticket for the 7 games (2 nations league and 5 Euro).

Add to that the £40 to join the SSC and it works out at just under £200.

That’s why the SFA can’t reduce the individual tickets prices as they’d be screwing over the fans who bought the season tickets.

See, that’s where I disagree with Fletcher on his comments about McTominay.

McTominay should be coming in to Scotland thinking he can be “the man”. Not just “doing his job”.  It’s exactly what’s wrong with the mentality across a lot of football sides now. Players should be going out to bust a gut and want to give more than “just doing their job”.

Probably the worst Scotland side I’ve ever seen. Centre halves are rather embarrassing. Plus Shankland shouldn’t be anywhere near it.

Only strikers in the squad to play San Marino are Shankland and Russell?

We have no other strikers in Scotland?

Remember playing 4 up front v San Marino in Euro 92 qualifiers in second half. Started with 3.

We had McCoist, John Robertson, Gordon Durie with Maurice Johnston on at half time and Kevin Gallacher on as sub too. Needed result to put us in position to qualify.

Not having it that he touches that.

Not seen it. Just going by Ladbrokes app.

I take it it’s debatable whether it’s his or not?

Think of the quality of that group and weep.

Trying to think of anyone who has been left out and drawing a blank.

Aye, ball runs across him, he claims to have touched it, but it doesn't deviate from its path and the spin doesn't change. Livescore have given it to Christie.

If that faintest of touches McGinn is claiming for the goal was by an opposition player Christie gets the goal, so why doesn't he still get it.

Happened in a N.Ireland game recently the player hitting shot got the goal despite clear deflection. Conor Washington was given goal despite Macgennis getting a definite touch.

If the deflection doesn't have any impact on a goal being scored then the player with the shot should get it imo.

Interesting to see who the bookies pay out on with these type of goals for FGS.

In the ground so haven't seen a replay but was McTominay lucky to escape a second booking when he went down looking for a penalty? Looked like if not a penalty it had to be a dive.

Their rules are all the same. Payout on whoever the Press Association says got the goal.

Definitely went down very easily.
