Electrician Stair Lights

Any electricians in EH11 area that can sort a stair light timer in a tenement block.  Dark nights creeping in and stair in darkness as lights on all during day.

Do you know where the timer is? If the lights are on during the day and off at night it will probably be a 2 second job just to adjust the time, something you can do yourself if you can find where it is.

If it is the same as the one in the picture, turn the clock face clockwise (there are 2 silver knobs at the 6 o'clock positions you can grip) until the correct time is against the S (for Summer) prong that is at the bottom. The black part of the time is for night time and the white part for daytime.

You have to ensure that the date in the date window is roughly correct. The black diamond in the date window should be pointing at the end of Sep. This is adjusted using a small flat screwdriver on the small screw (either clockwise or anti, it doesn't matter) between the 10 and 11 on the white part of the clock.

Or just push the slider to the on position and that will override the timer
