Will miss this as going to Italy that weekend to 3 Seria A games. Going to 2 games Sunday so hope it’s the Saturday lunchtime as we will get to watch it.

We should have Haring, Naismith and Souttar back by then. Hopefully a bit of form going into it and we have a right chance

What games, if you don’t mind me asking ?

In Italy that weekend also.

Really need to check calendars before booking these things !

Talksport reporting that Rangers and Celtic have been kept apart, then telling is their scores. No mention of our result or the Hibs result. Same on Sky last night. It shouldn't, but it really boils my piss.

Hope we get Hibs in the final!

Hearts beating Aberdeen to face Rangers was mentioned a couple of times on BBC Radio 1 news this morning

And so it begins - The doom and gloom merchants just can't help themselves.

Do you think  a Levein Hearts team will beat Rangers in Glasgow? Not sure his managerial form book would point to that.

It's all about making cash in the cups, winning isn't likely to happen and that's not being doom and gloom. That's facing up to reality.

I'll still be going, the booze will numb the pain after my false hopes are crushed yet again.

The initial announcement about the fixtures last year (which was later revised) was made on the Thursday.

No Europa games for the uglies that week so presumably its quite straightforward, both ties at Hamdump, and we will found out today whether its Sat/Sun we are playing, either way will probably moved to lunchtime (def if its the Saturday) to allow for a broadcast

yes they will both be on the box, but was just saying that on Saturdays it has to be outside the 3-5pm timeframe to be televised so would most likely be def lunchtime on the Sat. Sunday there is more flexibility and game can be broadcast at any time (eg see the derby on Sunday). As our game was first out the hat we are probably the Saturday game

Lets hope for a better result than the last time we played Der Hun in a League Cup Semi.

Midweek game in January 2008.

Barry the crab handball for their first goal.

I will be going more in hope than expectation however, to have such an out and out defeatist view such as yours before a ball is kicked is really tragic.

A straight answer - Yes or No -

Do you actually believe that we have no chance whatsoever of beating them?

Who is the number 2? Looks like Maybury but surely he was gone by 2008.

Game against Celtic now moves - some random Wednesday?

Yes.

Of course we have a chance. I also have a chance of winning the Euro millions.

I hope both happen.

And the North and South

Tickets 50/50

 Not so sure, Mikey.

You’d like to think so, but I have a feeling they’ll give us East and half of South first and sell by sections into the North.

Different times of course but we only took 7000 to that game mentioned above in 2008. Granted, that was a Wed night and the season wasn’t the best !

I'm confident that our odds to win the match will be considerably less than the odds of winning the Euro millions therefore our chance to win ........

If irony do Avatars then they obviously did yours.

My avatar was chosen around the time of our administration.

Having that avatar does not mean I have to separate reality from fantasy.

Do I hope we will win, of course.

Do I think we will win basing the possibility on life experience and general knowledge of how these things tend to pan out then no I don't.

Don't confuse being a realist as not being as great a fan as someone who has no grip on reality or refuses to accept "Natural Order".

That's a bit Hibs.

But I keep going because I love Hearts not because I think/expect them to win. Common sense tells me that it's unlikely just like putting on a lottery ticket but we do it on the off chance of it happening not the likelihood.

False hopes are always crushed. I’ll be taking genuine hopes with me. 😄

With Levein in charge yes we will.

If we play like we did the last time we were at Hampden, we’ll win. Sevco are nothing like the demons, no matter what they think.

Isn't piece a bread butter sandwich ?

To me, a ‘piece’ is any sandwich, or indeed the whole packed lunch thing you take to your work.

Like, ‘what’s in yer piece today’? Sort of thing.

Don't know what a ‘peice’ is though...

I'm sure I'm right in thinking that Rangers will be wanting the game played at Murrayfield after the success last year?

Doesn't really matter if we're playing them on the moon.

We’re beating them.

Not so sure, Doug.

I am well up for a 'Super Sunday' again and one of the fixtures to be at Murrayfield (preferably Hearts because we'll sell the extra tickets unlike Hibs)

Both will be at Hampden this year
