Heard some chanting Feyenoorders in George Skwerr the day. Not being fluent in Dutch I cannot comment on whether it was sectarian but I find myself hoping that at least some of the Australopithecine fans of the British Club broke into some of their usual traditional folk playlist so they can get hammered again.

No, Rennes.

As soon as I posted I knew someone would pick up on that.

No prize I'm afraid, smiler. :)

This doesn't sound too good for anyone other than the SPFL champions.

UEFA's third European tournament (after Champions League & Europa League) will be called the "UEFA Europa Conference League". Starts in 2021. Scottish clubs to be heavily involved. Champs will enter CL but Scotland ranked 19th by UEFA & only top 15 nations will get clubs into EL.

I'm too frazzled to understand. But I think Scottish teams might appear from the Europa League losers route. But there will be  6th place EPL teams I think. But I'm frazzled.

They announced where finals will be (Windsor Park, Northern Ireland will host the 2021 Super Cup. Wembley for the Champions League final 2023.) And changes to The Nations Cup.

https://twitter.com/UEFA

According to the Wiki link, it's everyone bar the champions into the EL Conference 2nd qualifying round, unless Scotland's coefficient improves by the end of this Europa League season.

  • 14 domestic cup winners from associations 16–29
  • 14 domestic league runners-up from associations 16–29
  • 16 domestic league third-placed teams from associations 13–28

and is this formatted to make domestic football healthier and wealthier or a trial run for European leagues to make UEFA and TV companies (their owners) healthier and wealthier, rich richer and poor obsolete springs to mind, I am of an age when the European Cup was contested by the individual champions of individual European countries and likewise their cups, when does the money making machine stop and we get back to the true meaning of sport and competition...

Scotland (19th) is currently 1.925 points behind the 15th ranked country. That's the equivalent of 4 wins by Celtic/Rangers, plus an allowance for whatever teams from Greece 15th, Cyprus 16th, Croatia 17th, and Serbia 18th might achieve in the remaining CL/EL games this season.

To be honest I don't see it (football) as being complicated at all, in fact it's pretty transparent, as a symptom of the new society we all live in it's their greed for wealth at all costs and feck the rest...

AZ Alkmaar v Manchester United

Young Boys v Rangers

Celtic v CFR Cluj

Besiktas v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Arsenal v Standard Liege

Tonight, Matthew, I’m going for wins for Alkmaar, Rangers, Celtic, Besiktas and a draw in the Arsenal game.

Urgh,  how unpleasant. Needing the arse cheeks to win so Europa League football is still achievable for all of us.

Once these new rules and formats come into play, how difficult is it going to be for a nation to move back up again? Nations will get more points for CL and EL results so that'll just increase the gap exponentially against the conference nations surely?

Will put a fiver on Rangers and Celtic double tonight.  Surprised Celtic are odds on favourites to beat the team that knocked them out of the Champions league...

Yeah, that’s a funny one, isn’t it?

As they say though, you seldom meet a poor bookie!

As long as there's +2.5 goals in Man U and Wolves games then I'll be happy.

They're in my 'ACCA' you see, Morgy.

The BT Sport coverage of the Rangers game appears to be commentary direct for Rangers TV.

Bt sports thinking. How can we get our commentary pro rangers? 🤔

Oh we know, let’s have rangers legend who won’t be unbiased.

So glad they lost. Happy for Scottish teams to get to group stages but it is bloody brilliant watching those asshats lose!

Anyway, that second tier Europa  league  seems quite good.

All roads lead to Gorgie

Beaten by the young boys of Berne. Just think what the score would have been if the adult team had been playing Sevco! 😂

Fans who travel when their club has refused tickets make a statement about the independence and determination of fans.

And risk trouble for their clubs of course.

I'd have Rangers banned and kicked out of Scottish football. Unlike others on here. But credit where it is due.
