My Bayern bet is looking very good.

Failing that, Lyon to win please. PSG are another City and Leipzig are the same but a few years behind.

BT sports salty tears are beautiful tonight

They were desperately trying to think of a reason to disallow the goal despite the former ref repeatedly saying that it wasn't offside.

So these last couple of games proclaim the death of tika-taka football?

Barcelona haven't been a tika-taka side since Xavi and Iniesta left.

It's the gegenpress period now

No wonder. After the Barca/Bayern game all 3 presenters were lip smacking over the foregone conclusion that it would be City vs Bayern in the semi. It’s like a mist that comes down as soon as an English team are involved. They didn’t even connect that older teams playing a dated system (like Barca and City) are starting to be picked off by younger teams playing an energetic high press for 90 minutes.( Stendel’s philosophy although he didn’t have the players to pull it off)

Bayern’s cup now. Can’t see anyone left stopping them

That was embarrassing last night. If Hargreaves hadn't been there, you wouldn't have known Bayern were playing beforehand. Ferdinand said he was going to put his feet up and enjoy a Messi masterclass, displaying a lack of knowledge of both sides current fortunes.

The Atalanta vs PSG game was just as bad. Discussing Papu Gomez and they mentioned Darren Anderton and Nicky Sumerbee in the same breath. The graphic came up during the game and he's in the same company as Messi and De Bruyne for assists over the last three seasons. Then there was the criticism of Neymar for leaving Barcelona for a lesser league. That doesn't look such a foolish move now...

Dembele's likely to leave in the summer.

Shudder to think the % sell on for Celtic.

Unfair advantage surely. All clubs to get an equal share of the sell on in the interests of sporting integrity!!

It’s exciting stuff.

Guardiola will just get another job, managing another, already successful team, and will thus  be hailed as one of the greatest managers ever.

Again.

So I'm not the only one who thinks Guardiola is overrated :D

Had a nice wee dabble on Bayern at 11/4 to win the competition just before they pumped Barca. They are now Odds on.

When I have a bet the team usu3gets pumped so you should all invest in any of the other 3 teams.

It's a strange one, as successful as he has been with 2 champions leagues and multiple league titles in 3 countries, I kind of feel that he is overrated! I think a lot of it is that people misremember is time at Barcelona, he was actually only their for 4 seasons, in which they were one of the best sides ever assembled but they were on their way to that before Pep, had a little wobble after he left, then regained their greatestness. The nucleus of the team was already in place led by an all time great player in Messi. I don't think Pep was necessary lucky but he was the right guy at the right time.

Barcelona were actually taken apart by and awesome Bayern team the year he was on sabbatical. Coincidentally Pep chose to take the Bayern job the year after and ruined them by trying to play like Barcelona without Messi when Bayern were so much more versatile, like they were the other night.

At City, they are a really good team but as yet not a champions league winning side. Although the EPL is overrated in terms of quality also. And now that Liverpool have broken though playing a much more exciting style, Pep might find that he's no longer the right guy at the right time.

That Sterling miss will be made into a great GIF no doubt.

That's only the second most embarrassing thing he's ever done.

RAHEEM STERLING'S GREAT GATSBY PARTY holds on to the number one spot.

Yeah I agree with pretty much everything you said there.

Red Bull v Qatar Sports Investments tonight in the semis of this (last?) seasons tournament. Actually looking forward to it tbf. Think we can all agree that both teams losing is the best outcome.

Celtic are also playing Reykjavik in the qualifiers for this (next?) seasons tournament.

Sebastian Gishamer is the referee in this match.

In his last 9 matches refereed (all Austrian League) he had given out 46 yellow cards for an average of 5 yellow cards a match.

Torn about this one tonight but somehow I feel RB are the lesser of 2 evils, despite my German connections. Can't stand PSG and their commercialism. Despite RB being owned by a massive corporation, their hearts are in the right place at least, even if it means shiting all over the traditions that German football fans do so much to protect.

PSG have scored in each of their last 34 Champions League games, equalling Real Madrid’s record of scoring in consecutive games in UEFA European competitions.

Leipzig are such a weird team. Some games they'll go out and steamroll teams, and others they play like this. They're missing Werner big time.

Lincoln red limps v FC Prishtina cancelled after 7 Prishtina players test positive on arrival in Gibraltar

Not the first Kosovan side it's happened to. Drita last week had a similar problem ahead of their qualifier with Linfield and had to postpone. Linfield were awarded the 3-0 win so I'll assume the same will go here.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens now, and who forteits the tie - assuming they can’t reschedule.

PSG are on course to be the first French team to reach the Champions League final since Monaco in 2003-04.

And in true French fashion, they'll wave the white flag to some Germans in the final.
