I was off work and had partaken in a couple of buckets with my jobless mates and this came on the TV.  I was actually stunned. IIRC it was the early days of rolling 24hour news and we watched it for hours.

Being a fully fledged aviation geek I was genuinely gutted. I loved Concorde.

Magic 👏👏👏.  Only thing that made my smile last Sat afternoon was watching oor Keith doing his warm up in the main stand before the game.

Cheers.

The guy kneeling over him worked in the hotel and was shaking his hand as he got shot.

Last time I saw eyebrows like the bird on the right, was on our last trip back to Edinburgh in May. She was on Princes Street, outside Primark.

That's my laptop background.  There are many people in my office and around the country that have seen that when i've been presenting and i always get asked who it is.  It's so pleasurable telling the entire story.

Funnily enough I only learned what the picture actually was last week, although I have seen it before. Its something to do with the American dust bowl, probably some poor farmers wife.
