mscjambo
My dad has suffered a bit of a deterioration in health over the past twelve months or so and as a result has been given a blue badge for parking. Stupid question as I've been going to Tynecastle for 30 odd years but is there any recommendations of decent spots to park near tynie with the blue badge. Never had to do it always parked up near Watson's school. Just looking for insights and places I probably wouldn't think of

micole
You can park on double yellows as long as there are no markings on the pavement/kerb .

I think it's more double yellows where you can load according to this https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/directory_record/699364/blue_badge_scheme The Blue Badge scheme is for drivers or passengers with severe mobility problems. It enables Blue Badge holders to park closer to where they need to go. With a Blue Badge you can park free of charge and without time limit on street in Edinburgh in public and shared on-street parking bays on single or double yellow lines when loading is allowed in greenways parking places when parking is allowed in disabled parking bays. weegie jambo
the north side of Wheatfield St is all disabled parking on match days. I have a blue badge and always park there now. Just get there good and early to bag a spot.
