Ffs we seem to get told the players will be back by a certain date then it always seems to be increased by a number weeks.

Last week it was hoped Souttar would make it for today now we are told he is making slow progress and has been to a specialist.

It must have been known a week go that he wasn't progressing and maybe should have seen a specialist a few weeks ago.

Soapy was meant to be touch and go for last week ffs.

This always seem to be said and it's obviously not true.

Liars. Luhvine out. Am I doing this right?

Think we've got to manage both right. Huge players for us. Neither should be rushed

The decision to risk Smith last week in light of what they knew before the game is shocking and has now robbed him of 3-4 weeks of football and an international double header.

On the Souttar front, I’m not in the slightest bit surprised to be honest.

It’s extremely frustrating, but I’ll look at the positives.

Naismith back.

Ryotaro available.

Damour and Whelan more time to get settled.

Wonder if Levein goes with Brandon again, or if White and Hickey will be the fullbacks.

Wouldn’t be shocked if Naismith ends up in a heap today.  The shit prognosis (again!!!) if Souttar and Smith doesn’t fill me with confidence that Naismith is as ready as they say he is.  Levein told us that he’s been training all week, for all we know he could been sitting on the physio table all week.

You think he’d lie about whether or not he’d been training?

Soapy, for all his talent wont go far due to being injury prone. Not a good a sign how often he has been injured in his short career so far.

Shame as I feel he is the most talented CB Scotland has right now.

Hope I am wrong.

This is always true apart from the times we’re told a date and the player comes back sooner. Which happens around half the time.

Sad but true. He is just 'one of those players'. Huge shame as the boy is class but no club will touch him.

Think you may have spotted a pattern there . Have these type of events EVER happened at any other club ?

Made it up.

What are you on about!!

He had been making slow progress and not healing as quickly as he should have been.

So why not send him to a specialist earlier than they did as he was not progressing as expected with that kind of injury.

Exactly.

It was said that Souttar was touch and go for the Celtic game.

Obviously a lot of bullshit.

Why risk Smith with a tight hamstring last week.

Asking for trouble and they got it. It was known it was tight in training before the game.

Like Berra who came back a lot earlier and struggled like **** every game he played last season after the injury. 😏

i've never known any team announce the truth about players fitness, yeah lets just let the opposition know who's playing, put the line up in the papers so they can set their team up for it, where have you lot been, moaning about injury news no being the truth, whinge moan, anything to knock the club.

Unfortunately we don't have a decent back up for Smith because Brandon is torture.

Think Soapy's value isn't going to be very high until he can go a season or two with no injuries. Might mean we'll keep him longer.

Of course but neither you , or I , have a scooby about his injury . Nor are we qualified to even speculate in an informed manner .

He was progressing , had a setback , went to a specialist .

Happens all the time .

No idea (?) why you would come out with your nonsense

There seems to be a trend at our club (maybe within the physiotherapy profession) to give players 2-3 weeks to let it heal naturally then if the problem persists seek further treatment. This is possibly looking long term at what’s best for the player rather than short term turnaround. It does seem to take our players a long time to get back to fitness at times. As you say without knowing the specifics how can we really comment?

Yes we've been unlucky with injuries but my opinion is our medical department as a whole is somewhere between amateurish and shambolic .

We seem clueless on diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Needs to be looked at asap .

Another 2 players off today injured. I've never known anything like it. 4 league games played and around 7 injuries so far this season.

Bonkers..

You have to genuinely question the reasoning behind it. Is it training / lack of rest, or pure ****ing bad luck?!
