Love the stories about the dressing room celebrations at full time.

Before kick off there had been, apparently, some snide remarks from the Kane, Weir types about Dens which only served to fire our lads up.

Gary Mackay was very vocal and descriptive in expressing his joy and even the usually calm Doddie didn't hold back.

Kane and Weir: two of many Hibs who can count their Edinburgh derby wins on one hand.

Alan Rough can count his without the aid of digits.

You can look far and wide and spend a lifetime doing it but you will never see a more 'Hibs looking' individual than Paul Kane.

Quite an achievement in amongst that shower.

Three derby wins in 25 would distort any kisser.

Gary Mackay says it was only many years after finishing his career that he recognised Weir, Kane, Hunter etc as he was only ever used to seeing the back of their heads when they sulked off after another defeat dished out by the famous....HHGH

The era where we boabied that shower of shite as a matter of course. Plus we had a great, mad, support that was vocal & took no shit.

I don't even bother watching the games for naff all on my IPTV box these days. Pussy club & the new h1b5.

Sandy Jardine wouldn't have continued if they had somebody better than Andy Watson to turn to !

Still amazes me how Watson made it as a pro footballer

Remember it well although it was so long ago ☹️

Ian Jardine scored some important goals for us.

Pretty sure it was him that scored in the 1-1 draw against Dundee at tynie in 1985 that started the run that nearly saw us win the double in 86.

Can someone remind me of the name of the so and so who crocked Sandy Jardine early on?

It was Billy Kirkwood I think. One dark spot on a fantastic day during a fantastic era.
