Perhaps neither were good enough, but others who are less good enough (certainly in the case of Lee) for us started today in positions in the team that they otherwise could have filled.

Ahead of Whelan and Irving then?

Lee was ****ing pony, but now he’ll be a world beater because he scored 2 goals against Bolton u21’s.

Lee wasn’t pony. Never adapted to our game and suffered with confidence after the injuries killed our momentum. He will now however be Messi cause he’s left us. Olly “Shankland Edwards” Lee.

Nah, thinking of Clare and Henderson. Lee was often utilised in similar attacking midfield roles to where they lined up today, and was generally less shite than both of them, in my opinion.

He’s found his level in League 1, just like Ryan Edwards probably has.

Written off by posters on kb who never go to games as being utter shite

I go to games and he was utter shite. Scoring against Bolton's under 18's isn't going to change thay opinion. If he was any good, teams higher up that Gillingham would have came in for him.

All roads lead to Gorgie

Must be the first time Olly has been allowed to go into the penalty box for some time.

Bolton's last 5 league games goes like this:

Rochdale 5-2 Bolton

Tranmere Rovers 5-0 Bolton

Bolton P-P Doncaster Rovers (postponed due to undue player fatigue)

Bolton 0-5 Ipswich Town

Gillingham 5-0 Bolton

You can't read anything into any game against Bolton this season.

Also Ryan Edwards scored again, for Burton, you could be right.

What’s ‘interesting’ about it, Wattie?

that we have let players go who couldn't score or get in the team and they are now scoring for their new teams already it has to be down to the way we are playing what do you think on this ?

I think Olly Lee was playing against a club who have no real first team players and are struggling to stay in business. What do you think? Do you think?

All we need is a vanecek goal and today is a real shitter

I reckon Levein would make Messi look gash.  It's difficult to tell if a player is good or not under him.

Probably, aye.

You know that Jay Jay Okocha and Fernando Hierro have retired now, yeah?

Olly Lee scores 2 in his first match since May but it doesn't count cos it's Bolton

Scored more goals than any other Gillingham player today funnily enough

been here before

Scored 2 against a wrecked Bolton team of laddies and a couple of programme sellers to become the hottest property in football since Ronaldo, Messi and Shankland.

And technically he's still our player.

Its win/win for us when the European powerhouses come calling.

Olly, Olly Lee

Olly, Olly Lee

:munny:

He'll join the long list of players from England coming up here thinking they'll skoosh the league.

Only to return down south, play well and criticise the standard up here.

Didn't help when the manager employed him in the water carrier role

Yet he was our best player statistically last season, and our super manager continually moved him around to fit SClare and a Djoum in to the team who both contributed next to nothing!

remember Lee and Haring playing well together  in the centre when we had our good run.

And Sam Allardyce is statistcally the greatest manager England has ever had as he's the only one with a 100% win record. No-one can come close to that.

He is also probably one of the greatest international managers statistically.

Stats are shite and can be used to prove or disprove pretty much anything.

To borrow a quote from Jose... "That's the way people that don't understand football analyse football, is with stats".
